A report from Research and Markets stated that the Psychedelic drugs market is projected to reach $10.75 billion by 2027, which begs the question…

With so much attention focused on the potential of psychedelic substances to heal trauma, there’s now increasing interest in how these medicines may also be effective in healing intergenerational trauma – trauma that is passed from one family generation to another

If that’s possible, how could the personal healing that individuals experience with psychedelics then potentially benefit our extended families and our greater communities?

These are some of the questions we explore with Susan Beaulieu, an Anishinaabe citizen of the Red Lake Nation whose own healing experience with psychedelics is now positively affecting her immediate family, and her larger Indigenous community.

In this episode, we consider some interesting questions, including:


What is embodied knowing? What is the difference between understanding something intellectually and having an experience that lives in your body and informs how you think and act?

Our guest for this episode played a pivotal role in helping one of the largest ketamine clinics in the world scale across several locations, so she’s got some invaluable perspective to share on these questions and more.



Dr. Dominique Morisano was a driving force behind the “Research to Reality” psychedelic conference, co-hosted by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Mental Health Commission of Canada, and the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction, which took place at the Toronto Hilton from May 27 to 29, 2022.

This “first-of-its-kind” event brought together a unique coalition of government representatives, regulators, policymakers, traditional medicine providers, neuroscientists, clinical practitioners and others to share and discuss the latest clinical research findings regarding psychedelic therapy work.

The presenters at this event represented a mosaic of diverse and invaluable perspectives from all corners of the psychedelic sector, ranging from very traditional cultural lineages to the latest in scientific research. It was groundbreaking in its scope and impact, and the session content is some of the richest and most informative in the space.
