Living a Symbolic Life in a Technological Age. Our digital age presents unique challenges for the practice of the inner life. What can the insights of Jungian Psychology offer for dealing with these challenges? In this series, we explore Carl Jung's idea of "the symbolic life" through the lenses of depth psychology, mythology, fairy tales, poetry, religion, and more. We focus on three core questions: 1. What is the symbolic life? 2. Why do we need a symbolic life? and 3. How can we cultivate and live a symbolic life? This is a companion podcast to the book 'Religious but Not Religious: Living a Symbolic Life' by Jungian analyst Jason E. Smith.

Understandable

I’ve never heard someone who so explicitly and implicitly describes Jung’s meanings. I am hooked on the first episode. Will begin binging tomorrow.

Unique Podcast

This podcast is informative and fun. He mixes symbolic myths and conceptual knowledge. He also has a great voice for podcasts. I would recommend this to anyone interested in Jung’s works or in general self-improvement.

Amazing Surprise

Randomly stumbled upon this show and was floored by the quality and the care clearly put into it- it quickly became my favorite Jung podcast. Thoughtful, insightful, and fully acclimated to the 21st century, which not many public discussions of Jung’s work can boast. Thank you so much for your work!
