Should I Stay Or Go? - with Amie Woolsey - Episode 249

Typically our podcast and practice focuses on repairing relationships. But within that work is the very real question of “should I stay or should I go?” In this episode we invited Amie Woolsey to discuss the challenging topic of deciding whether to stay in or leave a relationship following serious betrayals such as infidelity, abuse, or neglect. The conversation highlights the complexities and emotional turmoil involved in making such decisions, including the pressure from societal and religious expectations and the fear of outcomes like financial insecurity and the impact on children. Amie emphasizes the importance of personal agency, safety, and self-trust in the decision-making process, advocating for a thoughtful, nuanced approach that goes beyond black-and-white thinking.

Building a Life After Divorce - Episode 246

Building a Life After Divorce - Episode 246

In this episode I share a question from a listener coping with life after divorce. Men tend to have less social support than women, often due to couple and family friendships being more driven by the women. This can leave men feeling isolated and lonely after divorce if those friendships ended when the marriage dissolved. Join me as I discuss the emotional, spiritual, and relational recovery needed to rebuild your life after divorce.

Unintentionally Hurting Your Partner - Episode 245

There is a metaphor used in the Boy Scouts called the “blood circle”. To summarize, it encourages young boys to create an area around you where you are less likely to cut someone with your pocket knife. In this episode we are using this metaphor as it relates to unintentionally hurting others, specifically in the context of rebuilding trust in relationships. Join us as we discuss the importance of recognizing and addressing unintentional hurtful behaviors, seeking partner feedback, and fostering open communication for deeper understanding and connection.

And I said podcasts weren’t for me

I heard everyone talking about podcasts, and tried a few, but just couldn’t get into them… until these. Wow, Geoff and Jody are so easy to listen to, giving clear understanding on so many topics I never thought I’d find answers to regarding betrayal and porn/sex addiction. I found myself binge listening every time I got in my car and said to myself “ Yes! That’s exactly what’s going on.” Every episode shed more light not only my struggles but my husband’s too. We are grateful to have these resources and highly recommend them!

Take caution

If you are desperate for help, just know that there is better help out there than this guy. Speaking from personal experience. If anything, use the information in his free podcasts but having invested in his courses and done therapy with him, DO NOT spend a dime on his overpriced sessions or courses. There’s much better help out there for much more reasonable prices.

Best betrayal and recovery podcast

This couple has the best podcast for recovering couples… they offer tremendous wisdom, the stuff that really makes the difference. I have recommended this podcast to many many clients. I love the way Geoff and Jody illuminate the possibility of healing and the necessary insights along the way. The content they share is so worthwhile for anyone who has faced intimate betrayal. I love their approach and respect their expertise a great deal.
