From Spiral to Steady: Managing Intrusive Thoughts [Encore]

Intrusive thoughts after infidelity can feel overwhelming, consuming, and impossible to control. In this encore episode, I walk through what intrusive thoughts really are, why they happen after betrayal, and what we can actually do about them. If you've ever gone from calm to a full emotional spiral in seconds because of a memory, a word, or a random reminder, you're not broken. You're responding to trauma. I explain the difference between the "upstairs brain" and the "basement brain," and how betrayal keeps us in survival mode longer than we realize. Most importantly, I share practical steps to slow intrusive thoughts down, understand what they're signaling, and begin healing at a deeper level instead of just trying to push them away. In this episode, I cover: Why intrusive thoughts feel so intense after infidelity How to regulate your nervous system in the moment Questions to ask yourself when a thought won't let go How to know if a thought needs processing or reassurance What it looks like to co-regulate safely with your partner You don't have to live at the mercy of intrusive thoughts. There is something underneath them that can be healed. If this episode resonates with you, I'd love for you to reach out and let me know what landed. The February virtual retreat, The End of Holding It All, is February 18th at 9am-4pm EST. If you want to be there, you need to be inside "Get Your Life Back" by February 16th. Three Steps to Stop the Pain After Betrayal [Encore]

After infidelity, one of the most common questions I hear is, "Will it always hurt?" In this encore episode, I answer that question honestly and offer a clear path forward. The pain does not last forever — but healing requires understanding what actually causes the pain and learning how to work with your mind instead of against it. I walk through three foundational steps that help the hurt subside over time. First, I explain why infidelity hurts so deeply and how the meaning we attach to it often reactivates old wounds. Then I separate remembering from hurting — showing why forgetting isn't necessary in order to heal. Finally, I teach how to set boundaries around your thoughts so you stop reopening the wound again and again. Healing does not mean erasing the past. It means learning how to remember without suffering and how to treat yourself with compassion when pain resurfaces. This work puts the power back in your hands — regardless of whether you stay in the relationship or not. In this episode, I cover: Infidelity hurts because of the meaning we attach to it, not the event itself Remembering and hurting are two different processes Thought boundaries help prevent emotional re-injury If you're ready to heal without waiting for someone else to change, I invite you to reach out and learn how to begin this work. The February virtual retreat, "The End of Holding It All," is February 18th at 9am-4pm EST. If you want to be there, you need to be inside Get Your Life Back by February 16th. Letting Go After Betrayal - Learning to Loosen Your Grip [Encore]

Letting go after betrayal sounds simple, but it's some of the hardest work we'll ever do. In this encore episode, I talk honestly about why letting go feels so impossible after infidelity and how we often hold ourselves in pain without realizing it. I walk through the most common ways we stay stuck—replaying details, reminding ourselves of the betrayal, or trying to punish our partner in order to feel safe—and why those strategies end up hurting us more than protecting us. I also explain how trauma and re-experiencing responses can keep our minds and bodies on high alert, even long after the event has passed. From there, I share practical ways to begin loosening your grip, including cognitive shifts, mindfulness, and body-based healing approaches. Letting go isn't about minimizing what happened—it's about choosing peace and trusting that you can handle whatever comes next. This is an intentional, courageous act of faith, and it's one that can bring real relief. In this episode, I cover: Why replaying the betrayal keeps you stuck How trauma affects both the mind and body Practical ways to begin letting go safely Why mindfulness and somatic work matter If this episode resonates with you and you're ready for support, I invite you to reach out and explore working together. Healing Resentment When Trust Has Been Broken [Encore]

Resentment is one of the heaviest emotions we carry after infidelity, and it can quietly destroy even the most well-intentioned attempts to heal. In this encore episode, I talk honestly about what resentment really is, why it shows up so powerfully after betrayal, and how it quietly takes over when we don't feel safe asking for what we want. I walk through real-world examples from my coaching practice — from both betrayed partners and unfaithful partners — to show how resentment builds on both sides and why it keeps couples stuck in painful gridlock. I also share how resentment often has far less to do with what someone else is doing, and much more to do with what we believe we're not allowed to want, need, or ask for. Most importantly, I explain how to move out of resentment by learning to take ownership of our desires, set honest boundaries, and stop carrying responsibilities that aren't actually ours. Healing doesn't come from control or punishment — it comes from courage, clarity, and self-advocacy. In this episode, I cover: How to recognize resentment when it shows up Why unspoken needs fuel emotional gridlock How asking for what you want cuts through resentment If you're feeling stuck, angry, or emotionally exhausted, this episode will help you see a clear path forward. Reach out if you're ready for support — you don't have to navigate this alone. More from me: EXPAND: Who You Came Here to Be - An immersive, in-person retreat experience. The Skill That Makes Emotional Healing Possible [Encore]

In this encore episode, I'm teaching one of the most foundational skills for healing after betrayal: how to feel your feelings instead of fighting them. Our emotions are not the problem — they are how we experience the world. And when we try to rush past pain, numb it out, or judge ourselves for feeling it, we actually make it last longer. I walk through the most common ways we deal with emotions — resisting, avoiding, reacting — and why none of those create real relief. Then I introduce the practice of allowing emotions: observing them, getting curious, and letting them move through your body without believing every story your brain tells. I also share a deeply personal experience from my own life that illustrates what it looks like to allow difficult emotions while still choosing how you want to show up. Healing doesn't mean never feeling fear, grief, or sadness again. It means learning that you can handle whatever comes up. In this episode, I cover: Emotions must be felt to be released Allowing feelings is different from believing them You can choose which emotions fuel your life Register for After Betrayal: Who You Decide to Be in 2026 - the women who heal fastest aren't the ones who try hardest. Infidelity, Self-Blame, and the Path to Healing [Encore]

Infidelity can feel like one of the most devastating experiences a person can go through, and in this encore episode, I talk about why it cuts so deeply — and how healing is truly possible. I explore how betrayal impacts us not only emotionally, but at a primal level, threatening our sense of safety, belonging, and self-worth. I also share parts of my own story and explain how infidelity can reopen old, unhealed wounds that have nothing to do with our partner's choices. One of the most powerful frameworks I discuss is the Buddhist concept of the two arrows. The first arrow is the betrayal itself. The second arrow is the meaning we attach to it—the self-blame, shame, and stories that often create even more pain. While we cannot control the first arrow, we always have a choice about the second. Whether you are considering staying or leaving, this episode will help you understand how to reduce the impact of infidelity, reclaim your power, and stop hurting yourself with stories that are not true. Healing does not require perfection. It requires compassion, honesty, and courage. In this episode, I cover: Infidelity hurts deeply because of both biology and meaning The second arrow of self-blame is optional Your partner's choices are not a reflection of your worth Healing is possible, whether you stay or leave If you're ready to move forward with strength instead of shame, I invite you to reach out and take the next step in your healing journey. How to Stop Repeating the Same Emotional Patterns [Encore]

In this encore episode, I'm teaching you one of the most powerful tools I use in my coaching: the thought model. This framework helps you see, with clarity and compassion, how your thoughts create your feelings, actions, and ultimately the results you're living with right now. This isn't about positive thinking or forcing yourself to feel better. It's about awareness — learning how your brain works so you can decide, on purpose, whether the thoughts you're believing are helping you or holding you back. I walk you through real-life examples to show how the same circumstance can lead to very different outcomes depending on the thoughts driving it. When you understand this, you stop living at the effect of other people or situations and start reclaiming your power. You learn how to interrupt old thought patterns, create intentional results, and build a life that feels expansive instead of constricting. In this episode, I cover: Why circumstances don't create results — thoughts do How to identify the thoughts running your life What a daily thought download is and how to use it How to create intentional results instead of repeating old patterns If you're ready to feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your healing, I invite you to reach out and work with me. How to Make Decisions When You're Afraid of Being Wrong [Encore]

In this encore episode, I'm teaching you how to make decisions with clarity, confidence, and self-trust — especially when the stakes feel high and the fear of "getting it wrong" feels paralyzing. If you've ever second-guessed yourself, stayed stuck in indecision, or looked outside yourself for answers you already have, this conversation is for you. I walk you through a simple three-step decision-making process: exploring your options, deciding deliberately, and then committing — again and again — even when your brain wants to panic or pull you backward. I explain why indecision often feels safer to our brains, how to recognize when fear is driving your choices, and how to reconnect with your wise, grounded self so you can move forward with intention. I also share personal examples, including one of the hardest decisions of my life, and how learning to trust myself changed everything. You don't need perfect certainty to decide — you just need self-honesty and the willingness to follow through. Key takeaways: Indecision keeps you stuck, even when it feels safer You can learn to trust your own judgment again Commitment builds confidence over time Cast Not Away Therefore Your Confidence by Jeffrey R.
