The future of democracy is uncertain, but we are committed to its urgent renewal today. This podcast will draw on historical knowledge to inspire a contemporary democratic renaissance. The past offers hope for the present and the future, if only we can escape the negativity of our current moment — and each show will offer a serious way to do that! This podcast will bring together thoughtful voices from different generations to help make sense of current challenges and propose positive steps forward. Our goal is to advance democratic change, one show at a time. Dr. Jeremi Suri, a renown scholar of democracy, will host the podcast and moderate discussions.

Customer Reviews
Really enjoy this podcast.
I’m so thankful for finding this podcast. I really learn and enjoy exploring the different topics that are so important today. For years , I considered myself a news junkie somewhat. But as internet , cable tv and radio options grew, I felt that many of my news sources were forced to compete for ratings. I limit my news options and have discovered many informative podcasts. I have found that I enjoy more in-depth conversations and guests who are very informed on the various topics. It doesn’t matter if I agree or disagree, I’m trying to understand and learn and I don’t find that as easy anymore with the extreme voices who get the microphone more than people who are sensible. I really love the poem in the beginning and enjoy hearing about its meaning. The hosts set a great tone and invite great conversation through their comments and questions. I’m very worried about 2024. And that makes me sad to think about.
