Why Having Distance is Actually Healthy For Relationships and How You Can Implement It in Your Life

Why Having Distance is Actually Healthy For Relationships and How You Can Implement It in Your Life

#276: One of the common mistakes people make in relationships is failing to learn how to maintain one's own individual life outside of the relationship and away from your partner.
This is often evident when one or both people in the relationship...
Struggle to be away from each other days at a time, or even 1-2 weeks when events come upDo not have friends or others to spend time with, other than the significant otherLack personal interests and hobbies to do that does not involve the partnerFeel as though there is nothing new to connect on because the two are spending majority of the days together
This is also very applicable in friendships as well. Are you constantly hanging out with the same person or group of people too much?
Emily dives into examples of how healthy couples create separation and distance and why it's important to be able to do so, if you desire a healthy relationship with yourself and your partner.

Why You Should Always Pursue What You Enjoy and What Makes You Curious with Timofey Abel

Why You Should Always Pursue What You Enjoy and What Makes You Curious with Timofey Abel

#275: Timofey Abel is originally from Moscow, Russia. He emigrated to the USA with his parents and twin sister at the age of 7. Abel spent most of his childhood and teen years traveling the world, having visited over 35 countries before graduating high school. The culture of art was instilled upon him from a very young age, and paired with his view of the world and independent mindset, Abel pursued photography as a means to express his perspective. He documented the places and people he would see during his travels on 35mm film. Later he began working with modeling agencies.
Strongly resonating with the artistic and experimental culture of the late 20th century, Abel began joining forces with fellow artists in creating memorable images. Transitioning from street to portrait photography was a way for Abel to connect with others and introduce his unique approach to visual story-telling, embracing the uniqueness and potential of each individual. Timofey is officially relocating to Atlanta in May of 2024. His “The Middle East” exhibition will take place in November and December, and he’s currently represented in NYC by Only 1 Talent.

Maintaining Self-Discipline and Drive Even While Your Friends Aren't

Maintaining Self-Discipline and Drive Even While Your Friends Aren't

#274: On this bonus episode for the week, Emily Elizabeth dives into a common topic she gets asked - "How do you stay motivated and disciplined, even while your friends aren't doing the same?"
This is also usually the biggest struggle for each person - being able to create a life that is more aligned with your desired self, which requires discipline and change in actions. The hard part is maintaining these small shifts, even while friends are trying to "keep you" in the same place, by convincing you to go out when you truly don't want to, etc.
If this is also a bit of an obstacle for you, this episode will be helpful in redirecting you in maintaining self-discipline and drive in your journey of personal development and creating a fulfilling life.

How You're Still "Feminine" Even as an Independent Woman, Traditional Feminine Traits vs. Modern Feminism, and Why Insecure Men Are Really The Problem

How You're Still "Feminine" Even as an Independent Woman, Traditional Feminine Traits vs. Modern Feminism, and Why Insecure Men Are Really The Problem

#273: The conversations around "feminine and masculine energy" has become endless and it has led to this topic being brought up within the What Fulfills You? community. Questions surrounding, whether it's a negative attribute to be an independent, self-sufficient, intelligent female. And why are these questions even becoming a thought? Well, of course, modern social media and the spread of nonsense on "women should be showing up this way like they used to" and "men should be this way" and etc.
Prefacing to listeners tuning in from outside the US, there's a good chance this topic is not as common in your country and environment. But, perhaps you're still interested and curious to tune in.
If you're an independent young woman who does not subscribe to the full feminism views of today, but also not aligned with the extreme traditional views that the pendulum has *kind of* swung to over the past few years, you'll enjoy this episode.

    Topics discussed:
Men will show up how they really are (upbringing, programming, intrinsically) regardless if you’re in your “divine feminine”, but if you don’t show up in a way that aligns with them, they probably won’t stick aroundHow a truly secure man will show up and how it’s obvious when he is rooted in insecurities Ways you can show up in your own way that is still “feminine” and helps make your partner’s life easierImportance of having self-awareness in your value and never asking to be valued (when you're in the right room, you'll know)

Great Topics

This podcast is good because the topics and talks are all natural. These means it does not feel like a podcast rather you are just listening to people discuss and talk about life in an authentic manner. I also appreciate how this podcast is able to keep the listener interested the whole time.
