Ep 48: T1D Tips with Jessica Hrdlicka: Master Your Baselines for Better Blood Sugar Management

What's the most important area to master in your diabetes management before all else? You guessed it, your baselines. While there's such an emphasis on lifestyle, diet and exercise on blood sugars, the easiest area to overlook in having trust, ownership and predictability in your management is understanding how to test, assess and adjust your basal rates, carb ratios and correction factors.

Inside this episode, our Keeping it 100 Nutrition Coach Jessica Hrdlicka goes through the importance of mastering your baselines, where to start, and how to walk into your next endocrinologist appointment with a brand new lens.

Great content but not the best audio quality

As a newly diagnosed T1D, I love the content and the raw and real conversations on here. I will say there’s an audible difference between the intros/promos in the beginning versus the actual interviews and conversations, so wondering what sort of microphones and editing you’re using. Might be worth an upgrade.

Real, genuine and informative conversations!

When I was first diagnosed, I searched for the best books and the best education I could find from my doctors but still felt lost and unheard…what I realized was that I was truly looking for an empowered voice and mentor who was living the experiences and realities I was facing day to day. Someone who was talking about the real and raw of living as a T1D!!

I have found that in the Needles & Spoons community in every way! As a former client and now a coach inside the team - I can honestly say this podcast is my go to for continuing my education and understanding of living with this disease. 🤍
