A Horror Movie/Comedy Podcast... with a twist!
What do you get when two best friends, and horror movie fans, convince themselves that they would definitely be the Final Girls at the end of the movie and never the ones “running up the stairs when they should be going out the front door?" You get Kim and Ket Stay Alive... Maybe (KKSAM for short).
Each week, Kim Burns and Ketryn Porter take turns spoiling the f**k out of a horror movie one of them hasn't seen. Through very scientific (not scientific), totally indisputable (very disputable) methods — and amidst ridiculous tangents about their personal lives, childhood fears and wild college days — they play a game to determine whether they would #StayAlive at the end.
Come play with us!
-
Ep. 240 Fall: “The Tale of Butty the Butthole”
Kim is prepared with all the appropriate couch and hot dog measurements.
-
Ep. 239 Bodies Bodies Bodies: “The Tale of Abuse Soup”
There is hot goss flying everywhere and Ket is here for it. The girls also contemplate how to play Bodies Bodies Bodies in their tiny apartments.
-
Ep. 238 The Boy Behind the Door: “The Tale of Zero on the Frowny Pain Scale”
For the first time in 238 episodes, the girls almost forget to total the points, which would surely unravel this yarn sweater we call the universe.
-
Ep. 237 Cabinet of Curiosities - The Outside: “The Tale of All That Jazz (from Girl, That’s Scary Podcast)”
While Kim and Kat are away, Ket and Jazz will play!
-
Ep. 236 M3GAN: “The Tale of Kim as Hatter and Tallulah’s Legal Guardian"
The girls also discuss the practices of the children of 1512.
-
Ep. 235 Smile: “The Tale of the Private Tuna Melt”
The girls are positively apoplectic about 80-hour work weeks and people doing their OWN BLUDGEONING.

Love!
I love this podcast! It’s one of my favorites. If you like horror but can’t quite stomach watching on your own, I highly recommend this podcast. They aren’t gatekeepy about horror, they just like it and like to talk about it.
5/5
Currently my favorite podcast. My name is Sammy so obviously I would love this. It feels like I have friends who talk to me, but don’t listen. I appreciate the companionship especially considering that I listen to it while I clean an empty school. Which isn’t always the best choice because I think it causes me to see things. Maybe my brain is just dumb, I don’t know, but what I do know is that it’s worth the anxiety I get. Thanks Kim & Ket, you’re the best!
It’s like rewatching movies but better
Listening to the descriptions and commentary on the Hellraiser episode was honestly better than watching the movie!
