The Stories We Tell
One of my earliest experiences with horror as a kid was listening to the children on the playground talk about the movies I wasn’t allowed to see. I’m older and braver now, but hearing Sammi tell Henley and Emily about some of my favorite fright flicks brings me back to my roots as a fan and I love it.
As someone who is fairly recent in the podcast game, it usually takes a village for me to get into a podcast enough to listen to the entire log of episodes. That being said, I was hooked from the first episode I ever listened to!!! These three have amazing storytelling skills and the best commentary... Every episode is funny, engaging, and still maintains that little thrill you get every time you watch something from the horror genre. In these times of limited human contact, this podcast is a godsend 🙌 I recommend it to literally anyone who talks to me
What Fun! What TERROR
I’ve seen a few podcasts adopt this premise of a horror hound recounting the plot of a fright flick to a scaredy cat—but ACCEPT NO IMITATIONS. This is the real deal. And whether you’re the one afraid of the movies, or the one watching them all with morbid glee, you’ll enjoy hearing these hosts sit on the edge of their seat and hear the plots of horror films recounted to them beat by beat, and scare by scare.
