Little Things | A mini meditation to cultivate gratitude and mindfulness
Little Things is the first meditation included in my book RISE mini morning meditations. It is a practice to relax your breathing, to calm your mind and body, and to then connect to the little things that you are grateful for in this moment.
Try this practice before you even get out of bed in the morning or for the times in the day where you are feeling down or upset. Allow images of the little things that you are grateful for to come to your mind and fill you with feelings of gratitude.

Symbol: Thousand Petalled Lotus
Purpose: Your crown chakra is your connection to Source. It is the chakra center of knowing that you are a part of the Universe and that the Universe is part of you.
When your crown chakra is in balance: You have a higher state of consciousness and a feeling of inner peace that we are all interconnected. Limiting beliefs disappear when the crown chakra is aligned and you are capable of creating and manifesting
When your crown chakra is out of balance: You make fear-based decisions and actions, feelings of loneliness can be consuming, and you turn down meaningful connections with others.
Crystals to open your crown: Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Selenite, Ametrine
Aromatherapy/Essential Oils to strengthen your crown: Cedarwood, Jasmine, Lavender, Rose

THIRD EYE CHAKRA | AJNAI SEE
Location: Brow / Center of your forehead
Color: Indigo or White
Element: All of the elements in their pure form; light.
Purpose: Intuition, inner perception, clarity of thought, and spiritual guidance.
When your third eye is in balance: You are able to step beyond the perceptions of the mind and into a realm of knowledge and wisdom that allows you to see and understand a deeper meaning for situations and experiences in life. When the Ajna is open, you both see and understand. Remembering your dreams is a sign that your third eye is flourishing, as well as a heightened sense of "knowing" and seeing energy or auras.
When your third eye is out of balance: We confuse information with knowledge and often exhibit arrogance and follow self-limiting thoughts and behaviors. We forget to trust our intuition, which in turn, further depletes the power of the Ajna. When the third eye is out of balance you may experience nightmares, feelings of brain fog, and inability to make strong decisions.
Crystals for your third eye: Amethyst, Diamond, Lepidolite, Blue Topaz
Aromatherapy/Essential Oils to strengthen your third eye: Clary Sage, Sandalwood, Neroli, Peppermint
Rituals and Practices to help open your third eye:
If you experience headaches or eye strain (often causes by too much screen time) go outdoors and focus peacefully on nature. The color green is healing for the third eye, so surrounding yourself in trees and focusing on their brilliance will help settle this chakra.Touch the location between your brows of your third eye, close your eyes, and visualize white light beaming into this area. Repeat these mantras: "I am open and guided by my intuition", "My intuition has clarity, wisdom, and divine guidance", "I seek to always learn and grow from my life experiences", and "I trust and follow my intuition".https://www.myrituelle.com

Location: Throat area, extending out in front of the throat and behind the neck. It is associated with the thyroid gland.
Color: Turquoise
Element: Ether or space
Purpose: Your throat chakra is the center of your expression as well as listening with higher communication, authenticity, and genuine kindness.
When your throat chakra is in balance: You are able to express yourself fully, from your heart, and with genuine connection and authenticity.
When your throat chakra is out of balance: you feel out of place, shut down, and depression may result in not sharing your truth. The thyroid is associated with your throat chakra and is affected when there are blockages.
Crystals for your throat chakra: Sapphire, Turquoise, Blue Topaz
Aromatherapy/Essential Oils to heal your throat chakra: Peppermint, Lavender, Chamomile
Rituals and Practices to help open your throat Chakra:
Sing! Don't hold back, just let it all out! Humming and chanting are also great for opening your throat chakra. HUM is the word associated with the throat. Gently tap your throat area a few times when you are feeling your expression "stuck", this will relax and open it. Practice speaking your truth in from a mirror, alone, or with anyone your trust. HEART CHAKRA | ANAHATALocation: The center of your chest, on your sternum
Color: Green
Element: Air
Purpose: Your heart chakra is ignited by the love of creation and is your center for compassion, passion, devotion, and unconditional love. Your heart chakra is the gateway between your body and spirit, the strength of it determining your ability to give and receive unconditional love. This chakra is beautifully emotional and pushes us forward to grow and develop emotionally.
When your Heart Chakra is in balance: You are able to emanate unconditional love, the highest and purest form of love. You are connected spiritually and propelled to grow emotionally.
When your Heart Chakra is out of balance: You "shut down" and may begin to fear the feelings associated with love. You may feel unloveable, wanting, and needing love but not clear on how to obtain it. When the heart chakra is closed it causes feelings of co-dependency, jealousy, and unhealthy partnership.
