A warm place in my heart

I really love this podcast. I love hearing people open up in the surveys and learning from the guests. Paul is a great and relatable host. He does a good job of parsing through heavy subjects and does not shy away from listening when people come to him with new perspectives. It’s cool to see him grow over the episodes and it makes me feel like I can grow too.
Paul Gilmartin, My Hero

Paul is a selfless, kind, understanding FUNNY man. He cares about people. His podcast isn’t about sponsors and ads. He seeks to bring a feeling of being seen to his listeners. Paul, while I never met him, is someone I consider part of my healing journey. It’s the podcast I go back to time and time again. Thank you, Paul. From the bottom of my soul and heart.
Episode 598: Edward Shahrokh is Abusive
Aug 17
Edward Shahrokh formerly worked at Multi Concept Recovery. He "left" amid allegations -- the allegations were he retaliated against me, a patient, for filing a grievance after he materially mis-stated ADA law, abused his authority, then openly revoked my admission for making this grievance, and then imposed discriminatory & retaliatory conditions on me not to use a medication that I needed for medical reasons. The matter has been referred to the California Mental Health Board and they are investigating him now. I am also contacting state and federal authorities on suspicion of falsification of medical records -- he claimed I was physical, yet not a single email or text from either him or the CEO makes any such claim. Simply put, in my capacity as a compliance & ethics professional, it is my opinion you stay as far away from Edward Shahrokh as possible. It is my opinion he is not safe to be around. Know your rights. Under the law, no mental health professional may retaliate on the basis of a grievance or a protected class status. If you are a fellow victim, contact the California Department of Mental Health to report concerns like retaliation or discrimination. You can also contact both the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) and Department of Justice (DOJ) on protected class discrimination.
Eps #705 - Outstanding

Fast-becoming my favorite podcast, host Paul Gilmartin moves from joking with his guests to successful deep-dives and this episode with Dr. Heather Sandison is the latest example. It'll be nice to hear more sponsors backing this show, as Gilmartin's decision to end a longtime relationship with a monied but unsatisfactory advertiser has left a painfully deep gap. Subscribe to get access to the MIHH library and a Patreon backing unlocks even more content.
