    - Tree Roots: Tree roots growing close to the surface make it hard to mow. Harris gets some ideas for landscaping or creating a bench around the tree.

    - Basement Moisture: There is moisture seeping in a corner of Jeremy’s finished block basement. He can solve the problem by improving the drainage and grading outside the house.
    - Basement Floor: What kind of floor is best to install in a basement? Mary should give up the carpet and replace it with laminate or engineered hardwood flooring.
    - Floor Gaps: There are gaps where the bottom of the baseboard meets the wood floor. Tim should add shoe molding around the room to match the baseboard or the floor.
    - Painting Cedar: We offer advice to Beverly on using an oil-based primer and a solid stain to match her cedar posts to the white trim of her house.

    - Sandbox: Laurie is excited about creating a sandbox for her grandkids, but asks if she should look for an alternative to sand. Sand is not a problem and a cover will protect it from animals and rain.

    - Water Pressure: Krista has a shared well but her water pressure is much lower than her neighbor’s. She gets advice on looking for a restriction somewhere in her plumbing.

The Money Pit

Always have this show on, while sewing or working inside and outside the house. The broadcasters, Leslie and Tom, have pleasant voices and are very kind. Growing up with my dad, my best friend, was my joy in life. He was a chief in the navy, an electrician, carpenter and plumber.
I learned so much from him…. He’s in Heaven now, so I don’t have him to guide me along, with my money pit.. I have a great sense of pride, being a DIYer, it’s fun, and I save a so much money…
Every single episode of The Money Pit has so many tips, I learn constantly, and am also reassured that I did something right or when I didn’t… I couldn’t get alone without all the shared knowledge from the Tom and Leslie…. Dawn in CT

Good info but…

I love the show and the information, but the hosts act like they have no time for each called and are always trying to hurry everyone up on the call. It’s annoying and feels like a fake sense of time constraint just to get people off the phone. They talk so fast in their answer and don’t really care to get details when the caller offers. It would be nice if they acted like this was a real podcast and provided enough time for themselves to actually do it without it always feeling so rushed through.
Love the show, just wish it was a little differently run.

Love the tips and product recommendations

I’m a DIY landlord and rehabber and get a lot of good information from the podcast. Thanks moneypit!
