    About Andrew:

Andrew was born into a minister’s family and became a preacher and missionary to India, after studying theology at Wheaton College and Princeton Seminary. As a Christian, his relationship with God was his passion, but unhealthy religious teachings caused him an anxiety disorder, sexual repression, and spiritual disillusionment. He felt alone, traumatized, and abandoned. After an agonizing crisis of faith, he rejected religion and spirituality. He healed through mystical practices like meditation and psychedelics. His passion is to help you in your spiritual, religious, or life transition to heal and find your wholeness.

Through the growth

So I’ve been wanting to write a review for months now and I’m finally sitting down to do so! So speaking about downloads and how we’re all receiving them in different places and times… the first time I tripped during quarantine I looked at my friend and said we should start a podcast called Mormons on mushies lol then I looked it up to see if that name was used…lo and behold I found y’all! And you have changed my life 😭 when you are a spiritual person trapped in the Mormon religion and you leave it’s hard to take your spirituality with you… I began to doubt all of my spiritual gifts and chalk them up to my Mormon conditioning… it was a very dark place for a long time, I feel so incredibly blessed to have found this podcast to hear people that are just like me going through the process of unlearning our conditioning. Every time I think I’ve cross the road there’s a new one that’s built in front of me and y’all have stepped into almost all my sticky Mormon baggage. Each of you bring such a different light to the table I feel as if you possess parts of my personality and I connect to each of you in different ways. Thank you so much for helping me understand the process as I go through this journey with you and also bring new and interesting things while challenging my brainwashed normative thinking. Hopefully one day our paths will cross, thank you all 💚 this is a must listen podcast

This is a great podcast for the deconstruction process of leaving a high demand religion. Since grieving is such a process, I’ve found this part helpful, especially after the anger stage of grief. This is a nice mellow approach to post-Mormonism.

I love these humans

To say that this is one of my favorite things I listen to would be the understatement of the century. I love Doug’s passion and Mike’s sensitivity and Shelise’s wisdom. When I went through my third and final faith crisis and considering psychedelic therapy, I turned to this podcast when it had maybe six episodes out. Listening changed so much of my perspective and it made me excited to dive deeply into my subconscious mind.
Thanks, guys. You’re beautiful humans and it’s cool hearing so much of my mind coming from my speakers.
