It’s like listening to my best friends
I’ve been ex-Mormon for over 10 years and I still can’t believe it took me so long to realize the Mormon church (church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 🤮) is a cult. I’m still working through things I experienced when I was a member. These ladies feel like the best friends I never met. It’s so cathartic to listen to. I’m not the biggest fan in being taken down memory lane to some experiences I had while a member, but to hear that what I experienced others did, too makes me feel heard and helps me heal and laugh the trauma away. And I LOVE your vulgar language. I can’t believe I used to believe it. Thank you for creating this podcast, ladies!
Very cathartic
I grew up in the Mormon church, and, like the hosts of this podcast, I was all in. That all came crashing down a few years ago when I allowed myself to look at the evidence for and against the church for the first time. Now, I’m a middle aged guy that made major life decisions based on teachings from a false church. Listening to this podcast is very cathartic. Especially the funny ones. Thank you!
The wrong approach to an important topic
While these two expose the cult status of Mormonism they do so in a juvenile fashion.
I listened to their podcasts on Joseph Smith and Brigham Young and they did expose some of the falsehoods those two propagated (especially the whole idea that Joseph Smith was a prophet who “discovered” the Book of Mormon).
The problem is that they come across as two very young, very immature individuals. They should spend more time researching and thinking critically instead of merely dismissing anything (even non-Mormon subjects) they don’t agree with.
