Women’s Health through the lens of C-PTSD, physiology, and culture

BioEnergetics 101 and Why This Matters

BioEnergetics 101 and Why This Matters

In this episode, I do my best to break down what it means to be healthy using the BioEnergetic lens and WHY this lens for understanding health is so so important. I believe understanding bioenergetics is important for everyone, but I believe it's especially important for women seeking sustainable healthcare solutions in a culture that teaches us to exceed our limitations on a daily basis.
As a nutritionist with a health science degree under my belt, I wasn't taught to view physiology through this lens in college, nor was I taught in any of my nutrition studies to view human health through this lens. It's taken me many years of education, personal health struggles, and professional client coaching to deeply appreciate how broadly applicable and essential the Bioenergetic lens is for working with our health.
In bioenergetics, we understand that energy begets structure and that energy and structure are interdependent at EVERY LEVEL of our health throughout our lives. This helps to explain why quick fixes and reductive solutions to fundamental disruptions in cellular energy can cause so many negative and unintended consequences - especially for women using health guidelines that are primarily geared toward male bodies. In bioenergetics, we understand that women have physiological needs unique to their complex reproductive functions which require MORE consistency in energy metabolism, stress mitigation, lifestyle alignment, and overall nourishment. Therefore, we experience more acutely the negative effects of stress and degeneration in our bodies.
I found this topic to be a difficult one to convey and as an infant podcaster, I have no doubt that I fell short on doing it justice. However, since this topic is so fundamental to my understanding and approach to all of the other topics I'll be discussing in future episodes, my hope is that I got the point across enough to keep my listeners engaged and equipped for future conversations.
I hope you enjoy the podcast and please consider giving it a review or letting me know what you got out of it!

WHY is a women’s nutritionist talking about trauma?

WHY is a women’s nutritionist talking about trauma?

In this intro episode, I introduce myself and what I do professionally with women's health for those of you who are new to my work. I offer a simple breakdown of my health and professional timeline with illness, nutrition, education, working with women's physiology and, more recently, C-PTSD & nervous system care.
I share a bit of what I've been up to in the past few years and what led up to this podcast launch. Then I close out the episode with some teasers of future conversations, suggestions for how to engage with my episodes moving forward, and express gratitude for those who lend me their attention through taking the time to listen. I'm so grateful you're here. ❤️

Loving this!

I have been following Kymber in instagram for a few years now and love what she shares there so I was very excited about her starting a podcast! I love the conversations here on women’s health and well being and I feel like it’s exactly what I want to know and learn about in this phase of my life. Kymber really conveys the information in a way that seems relatable and although I can’t digest all of the info, I can take in what resonates and feel like I’m learning something new. I have a toddler so I don’t have a lot of time to listen to podcasts these days but this one I make time for and I’m really eager and excited on what’s to come with this.

Love her perspectives!

I’ve been following Kymber’s work for a while now and even worked with her privately as a coach. She brings a unique perspective to the conversation of women’s health and you can tell she truly cares! I love her earnest and sincere way of communicating complex topics & I find her way of combining psycho emotional & physiological health solutions to be invaluable. Looking forward to watching this podcast grow!

Excited for this content

I’ve been following Kymber for about 2 years now. Her teaching style and subject matter are very nuanced in a way that resonates with me personally. I don’t hear a lot of women talking about what she invites us to think about. I appreciate her perspective, her insights about womanhood and her vast knowledge from her education and life experience. I’m so excited to hear what’s to come to the point I’m mad there is only one episode so far lol. Looking forward to absorbing all the wonderful insights and information she will bring on this platform.
