In this episode of the Pain Free for Life podcast, Dr. Rob Vanbergen engages in a fascinating conversation with Dr. Karen Cureton, a naturopathic physician and co-developer of the Wired for Wellness program. Dr. Rob’s and Dr. Karen’s journey begins by understanding the transition from acute to chronic pain and how our brain rewires itself in this process. Together, they’ll explore the deep-seated roles that our emotional networks and fight or flight responses play in fostering chronic pain and how addressing fears and anxieties can be pivotal in its management. Also, they scrutinize the relationship between chronic pain and the brain, revealing how frequently chronic pain morphs into a brain habit rather than remaining a response to physical injury. Discover how our behavioral responses can amplify the pain and learn practical ways to rewire your brain to alleviate it.

Pain Free For Life

I just discovered this podcast and have listened to many episodes. They’re short, most less than 20 minutes, and cover essential details about the featured topic. This helps me absorb and retain necessary information, such as: Microcurrent is energy medicine and we are comprised of electrical energy. Inflammation is at the root of many painful conditions and illnesses, and microcurrent can turn it off. We can choose a mindset that acknowledges our ability to partner in healing ourselves and accept responsibility to do that. We have the power to reset our nervous systems toward healing. Specifically, we can easily use microcurrent to activate the vaunted vagus nerve, so we can relax enough to understand our own capabilities. Unlike many devices, modalities and practitioners I’ve experienced, microcurrent helps me daily to tone the vagus, increase sleep duration and quality, and to improve my vision. There are practical episodes on these issues, and others.

PEMF and microcurrent

This was a great review for me. Treating with mc before pemf makes sense to me. I like to review some podcasts for recall purposes. I enjoyed hearing this again.

Pain Free for Life Podcasts

The first several Pain Free for Life podcasts have been great. It is beneficial to hear how people have used the Pain Free for Life protocols to address their health issues and subsequently make significant improvements in their health and their life. It is encouraging to hear that people that have hard to treat conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, can make significant improvements in their health by following these protocols. I am looking forward to listening to all of the future podcasts.
