The question of "what to eat" can feel endlessly confusing, especially when we contend with our own deeply ingrained beliefs and stories around food. Blame social media, the headline news, and let's not get started on family influences. Passed down from generations of women and men to their daughters, it's no wonder women are so baffled about how to stay healthy the older we get. As a nutritionist, healthy eating chef, and from her own personal and professional experience, Heather Carey has been connected to years of stories related to diets, weight loss, food fads, staying healthy, cooking well, and eating well. Beliefs around food start the day we try our first vegetables and get solidified through our families, cultures, and messaging we receive in our lifetimes. We have the power to call out our food beliefs so we can finally make peace with what we eat and get on with enjoying the real food and lives we deserve. Listen in to find out how to have your own happy ending to your real food story. Connect with Heather at heather@heathercarey.com or visit her website at www.heathercarey.com

Empower Your Menopause with Kristin Mallon and Michele Wispelwey
"Menopause is a natural part of life but it doesn’t have to be a struggle. Our mission is to empower women to navigate this transition with strength and confidence".
Empowering women to take charge of their health and their hormones is having its moment in the sun!
I'm really excited to share my conversation with Kristin Mallon and Michele Wispelwey, co-founders of FemGevity, a telemedicine company that provides ultra-personalized menopause support through a variety of testing so that your plan is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
I talked to Kristin and Michelle about:
Why menopause is NOT one size fits all and why most doctors treat it that way;The importance of learning about peri- and menopause before you are in it;The benefits of supporting your health through hormones, and the detriments to your health by not doing it;The 100 symptoms women can experience when they go through menopause and how specific testing can help hone in on a treatment plan just for you;Hormones that affect our symptoms (hello libido!) that go beyond estrogen and progesterone. Customer Reviews
Super helpful health podcast!
You can tell from listening to this podcast that Heather Carey has a lot of knowledge to share. She has interesting topics and great insights in each episode.
Food is love
It is truly amazing how different all of our relationships with food are because of our upbringing! Like the Jewish side of your family, from an early age for me, food was love. My maternal grandparents were Holocaust survivors, so after all they endured, the thing that gave them the most joy was feeding us. So much so that $1 was offered to anyone who could finish their overflowing plate at a special family dinner. We never spoke about weight, and “diet” a word I don’t recall ever being used in my childhood. But now, I too am in my mid 50’s going through some changes and not super thrilled with my bathing suit body… I want to eat healthier and firm up for myself, so I have more energy and like what I see in mirror. Thank you for sharing your story. I look forward to hearing more ❤️
Love it!
Loved the first episode! Cant wait to hear more food stories!
