Keeping The Mind & Body Connected: My Personal Journey
In this episode I share some news about a medical diagnosis I received recently. As I dealt with this new diagnosis, I recognized a few things"
I wasn't practicing what I taught others
I had taken on way more than was healthy
My mind and body weren't working together for my overall well-being
As I sorted through these realizations, I made some changes in my routine, I utilized many of the tools I share with my clients, and I came away with a sense of strength and curiosity for moving forward.
We may find our bodies telling us we need to slow down while our brains keep driving us forward. Listen, learn, and take action! Self-care IS healthcare! -
WHY Don't We Prioritize Our Own Self-Care?
In this episode of Reporting From the Mind-Body Wars, I share some answers I got to this question: WHY don't we prioritize our own self-care? I have been researching the idea of self-care as a form of health care. What do we do to contribute to own well-being and the health of mind, body, and soul?
I received a variety of answers to the question when I asked it on several of my social media platforms and I share those answers with you? Are there any answers that resonate with you? Or maybe you have a different answer. I'd love to hear from you at healthcoachlisat@gmail.com!
Finally I share my new Self-Care Facebook coaching group and I would love for you to join me there. If you'd like to be a member, please click this link and I will get you added to the group. It's going to be a great group! Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthcoachlisat/
I will talk to you soon and have a great day! -
Keeping Resilience in Your Self-Care Toolkit
Hi everyone, in this episode I talk about the importance of resilience, the ability to bounce back during times of difficulty. The past week has been challenging for me in a good way, but challenging all the same. We need to develop resilience whether we are trying to develop new habits, or face new challenges. How do we do that? I hope you will listen and learn!

Diets Don't Work
Welcome to Episode 2 of Reporting From the Mind-Body Wars. In this episode, I discuss several reasons why diets don't work. Or why they don't work over the long haul.
Here is the link to the "Health at Every Size" manifesto that I mention in this podcast: https://lindobacon.com/HAESbook/pdf_files/HAES_Manifesto.pdf

4 Paths That Led Me To Here
In Episode 1, I will share the four pathways that led me to become an anti-diet messenger and to hosting this very podcast. The four pathways include being a registered nurse in the emergency department for over 30 years, becoming a health coach, being a survivor, and finally, decades of chronic dieting. Spend some time getting to know me and my story as we get ready to start this journey together.
