    10: Like A Girl

    10: Like A Girl

This week on Talking Body we are exploring gender identity - what does it mean to live your life "like a girl" and why do so many people have (loud) opinions about it? To get to the bottom of body policing and gender dynamics, Amy enlists the help of author and activist Eli Erlick, who's written multiple papers on the subject. Along the way the two women have a surprising conversation about loving your body while wanting to change it - with a little help from Michel Foucault.

7: A Lot On Our Plates

This week we're digging deep into diet culture, the complicated relationship we have with food, and what it means to truly eat everything you want to eat. To get a wider perspective, Amy talks to cookbook writer and chef Julia Turshen, who opens up on how her insecurities affected the way she created her recipes - until her wife pushed her to take a closer look. Then, Amy sits down with eating disorder registered dietitian and weight inclusive nutritionist Anna Sweeney to get some real facts about how we feed our bodies and what to look out for when it comes to disordered eating.
If you are struggling with disordered eating, you are not alone. Visit https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/help-support/contact-helpline to get more information or to speak to a representative via phone, chat, or text.

Body Love Journey

This podcast is a must listen to if your are struggling with body love issues! Will be listening to all the episodes over and over again as I work through these issues. Amy thank you for putting this out in the world!!

Jen Lebo ,

Amy Porterfield is a hero.

I’ve listened to Amy for years. Online Marketing Made Easy has been my favorite podcast forever. Until Talking Body. The honesty and the vulnerability that Amy brings to every episode, the questions she asks, the experts she provides for us- it was everything I’d been looking for. Amy, thank you for speaking up for all of us. I feel so connected, as a woman who struggles with body image, who struggles with aging, with being a mother, with being a female entrepreneur, with social media, with food, with everything. I loved every minute of every episode. I cannot thank you enough. I hope there will be a Season 2! You are my hero.

Would be 5 stars but there’s only half the show! Where’s the rest?
