This is the second episode of our 4-part series, “Step Into The Man You Want to Become” featuring Frank Paul Vignola. In this episode, we delve deep into the concept of courage, the second foundational pillar on the journey to becoming an authentic and intentional man. Join Johnny and Frank as they tackle the common misconception surrounding courage, emphasizing that it's not about the absence of fear, but rather, facing it head-on.

Frank’s early life was plagued with battles - bullying, expulsions, overdoses, and then a 4-year string of incarcerations that almost killed him. Overcoming those challenges gifted him with a determination to develop a formula to help men summon their inner superheroes. They also chat about what it means to be a leader and about Elliot’s business ventures as an AirBnB owner.

Elliot Schwartz is a luxury Air Bnb owner who has built an investment group that targets new properties to convert into high-end rentals for retreats, masterminds, and occasional Air Bnb during the off-season. 399. You Have to Fight for Purpose

    399. You Have to Fight for Purpose

Do you have a purpose or a passion in your life? Is it difficult to find your purpose? In one word: yes. Purpose must be cultivated, not “found.” Cultivating purpose is hard. You’ll have to put in your time, energy, and dedication to changing the narrative and taking action.

On today’s episode of The Art of Masculinity, Johnny talks about what purpose and passion are, and how they are different. He talks about what society’s views on men’s obligation, purpose (or if we’re even allowed to have any), and duties are. How have these views changed over the years? Is it changing for the better or for worse? Johnny answers these questions, and talks–in depth–about how purpose is qualified for men, and what this soft society has done to it.

398: Telling the Story Behind the Military with Mitchell Coffman

398: Telling the Story Behind the Military with Mitchell Coffman

On today’s episode, Johnny chats with artist Mitchell Coffman. They talk about Michell’s artwork and his unique focus on the military. He’s had a strong connection with the military his whole life and he works hard to make sure he can tell the story of these strong, selfless men. The military mentality and inspiration have bled into his artwork and lifestyle. It shows through his work, his views on improving his craft, and in how he interacts with people. Johnny and Mitchell also bond over their shared view on dedication and the frustrating state of talk-over-action that is so prevalent these days.

Leveraging a rich legacy of artistic influence, Mitchel Coffman is a New York City-based, award-winning independent artist passionate about storytelling. Art has always been a profound love of his, cultivated by the dream that his father, an illustrator, never saw realized. Driven by his father’s unfulfilled aspirations, Coffman embarked on a journey to actualize his artistic dreams.

Coffman’s artistic foundation was shaped by working alongside skilled professionals such as animator Walter Storozuk during his formative years. Later, in graduate school, Coffman was a studio apprentice to the esteemed master painter Jorge Alvarez. The diverse teachings from these two mentors uniquely shaped Coffman’s artistic style. Coffman’s practice blends tradition and innovation. He aspires to create work that echoes the depth of his artistic journey. You can find out more about him on his website and Instagram.

Number Two. ,

Hmmm

Pretty sure I disagree with you about not being as vulnerable with wife and age appropriate kids. Yea the details of our struggles and weaknesses like daily lust checkins should be for our men but we can’t be hidden to our wives either. I believe that a man can and should be rigorously honest about his pains, struggles and weaknesses with his wife just like he is with his men. Just like how our men respect us more so will our ladies. It won’t make them feel like we’re less man or that they need to step into the masculine rather it will give them security to know we are real and we are honestly dealing with our stuff. Still giving a 5 star bc you are spot on helping men.
