Stop Arguing Spec Sheets: The Truth About Red Light Therapy Devices, Dosing & Business Models with Scott Kennedy

Red light therapy is now at Target. It's on Amazon by the thousands. And with that explosion comes a mountain of marketing claims, spec sheet arguments, and consumer confusion that has Freddie and Scott Kennedy — founder of Light Path LED and one of the most science-grounded voices in photobiomodulation — more motivated than ever to cut through the noise. In this fifth conversation across seven years together, they break down exactly what happens at the cellular level when red and near-infrared light hits your body: how cytochrome C oxidase absorbs photons, why that turbine in your mitochondria spins faster, how nitric oxide release drives vasodilation and blood flow, and why the gap between 700 and 800 nanometers is essentially a dead zone. They also get real about power, irradiance, pulsing frequencies, and why the best panel in the world won't save a business model built on charging $100 a session for red light alone. The second half of this episode is a full product walkthrough of what Scott has been building — including the new Titan, a six-foot full-body panel with an electric adjustable stand designed to deliver what $60,000 red light beds do at a fraction of the cost, and the TLC dork cap — three years in development, covering the full head, jaw, cervical lymph nodes, and occipital region with red, near-infrared, and blue light at 10 and 40Hz pulsing. Freddie and Scott also explore the torch, intranasal red light delivery, dental and gum applications, stacking red light with peptides for injection site activation, and the honest conversation about what a sustainable red light business model actually looks like in 2026. Use code BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN at lightpathled.com for a discount.   Episode Highlights   [00:00] – Red light therapy goes mainstream and why consumer confusion is exploding [02:10] – Scott’s dental laser background and how he discovered photobiomodulation [04:32] – Why red light supports the body instead of directly “treating” conditions [06:22] – How light increases ATP, blood flow, oxygenation, and downstream cellular benefits [10:00] – The difference between red light and near infrared light [12:11] – What happens at the cellular level with mitochondria, cytochrome C oxidase, and nitric oxide [18:45] – Why irradiance and power claims can be misleading for consumers [24:32] – Therapeutic dose, joules, timing, and why more is not always better [30:53] – The problem with too many wavelengths and marketing-based panel design [36:05] – Lightpath LED’s wavelength choices, pulsing features, and near infrared focus [44:11] – The Titan panel and why Scott designed a simpler full-body red light option [45:51] – The Dork Cap, blue blockers, torch attachments, and practical red light tools for daily use   Upgrade Your Health   LightPathLED: https://lightpathled.pxf.io/c/3438432/2059835/25794 Code: beautifullybroken   MaxGen Labs: https://maxgenlabs.com/BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN Code: beautifullybroken   The Biological Blueprint Course: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Earn 200 in BitCoin + Change your health   BEAM Minerals: http://beamminerals.com/beautifullybroken Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN   Silver Biotics Wound Healing Gel: https://bit.ly/3JnxyDD 30% off with Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN   StemRegen: https://www.stemregen.co/products/stemregen?_ef_transaction_id=&oid=1&affid=52 Code: beautifullybroken CONNECT WITH FREDDIE Work with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Website and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world)  Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/freddie.kimmel YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@beautifullybrokenworld  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. 715 Burpees, Thyroid Cancer & the Healing Power of Touch: Stephanie Thaler on Adhesion Release, Ketamine & the Body's Capacity to Heal

Stephanie Thaler has lived many lives in one. She survived thyroid cancer at 18, gained 60 pounds during radiation treatment while being isolated in a hospital with zero human contact, and came out the other side with a calling — massage therapy. What followed was 28 years of relentless learning, Guinness World Record-breaking fitness (715 burpees in 60 minutes), becoming the massage therapist for the Minnesota Vikings and the 2022 US Women's Olympic Hockey Team, founding the first barefoot massage school in Minnesota, and becoming the highest-paid manual therapist in her state through a technique called adhesion release methods — a specialized approach to releasing nerve entrapments that only 50 practitioners worldwide are certified in. In this conversation with Freddie, Stephanie breaks down what adhesions actually are, why nerve entrapment goes undetected on MRIs and gets dismissed by conventional medicine, how she's getting results in four to six sessions for people who have been in chronic pain for years, and what the difference is between radial and focused shockwave therapy when treating specific nerve pathways. The second half of this episode goes somewhere deeply personal. Stephanie shares that her father died by suicide on Thanksgiving when she was five years old — and that she spent the next 38 years living in a state of chronic fight or flight, cycling through every SSRI, CBT protocol, and alternative therapy available, never finding lasting relief. Until ketamine. In two weeks of six IV sessions, she healed more trauma than 18 years of cognitive behavioral therapy ever touched. Her father came to her in session. God held her. And she came out glowing. She now does at-home ketamine therapy three to five days a week and credits it with putting her depression into remission and fueling the most successful chapter of her career. This is an honest, science-grounded, spiritually rich conversation about healing the body and the nervous system from the inside out — and what becomes possible when you finally feel safe. Your DNA Has the Answers: Functional Genomics, Methylation & Personalized Health with Debi Bryk of MaxGen Labs

Debi Bryk has spent over eight years using functional genomics in clinical practice — and what she found changed everything about how she works with clients. In this conversation, Debi walks through the MaxGen Labs WORX panel, breaks down methylation in plain English, explains why MTHFR is only one piece of a much larger puzzle, and reveals why jumping straight to methylated B vitamins without knowing your COMT status can leave you feeling dramatically worse. She also unpacks how genetic variants in toxic response to plastics, pesticides, and seed oils can explain why some people develop chronic illness in environments that don't seem to affect others — and what you can actually do about it. Debi also explores the emerging role of lithium orotate in ADHD and Alzheimer's prevention, why low choline may be driving the mood and cognitive crisis more people experience every day, and shares her clinical framework for sequencing testing that dramatically accelerated healing and reduced costs for her clients by eliminating the guesswork entirely. 4. Two Cancers, Cold Water & the Radical Decision to Heal: Dean Hall on Purpose as Medicine (Encore)

Two Cancers, Cold Water & the Radical Decision to Heal: Dean Hall on Purpose as Medicine (Encore)

Dean Hall was sick, grieving, and without hope — until he made a decision that changed everything: find something worth living for. In this powerful encore release from the Biological Blueprint, Dean joins Freddie to explore the terrain that no lab test can measure — purpose, spirit, and the courage to take just one more step. Drawing on Viktor Frankl's observations from Auschwitz, Dean reveals why it wasn't the strongest or the smartest who survived the unsurvivable — it was those most passionately tied to a purpose larger than themselves. He walks through his three pillars for navigating a dark night of the soul: releasing the need for perfection, trusting the body's innate ability to heal what it created, and the radical simplicity of asking yourself only one question — what is the next step? Whether you're 180 miles into an open water swim or sitting with a diagnosis that just changed your life, Dean's answer is always the same: you already know. The second half of this conversation goes into territory rarely explored in health and wellness — transgenerational trauma, family systems therapy, and the epigenetic wounds passed silently from generation to generation. Dean shares how he's only recently begun mapping his own ancestral lineage, from a 14-year-old great grandmother who crossed the ocean alone from Sweden to fishermen and brawlers from Northern England — and how forest bathing and cold water immersion have become his most powerful tools for releasing what isn't his to carry. He also shares a profoundly simple breathwork and prayer practice he has used with thousands of clients over 20 years — a tool he calls centering down — that uses the brain's hardwired need to answer every question it's asked to surface your deepest purpose. One hundred percent of people who stick with it through the frustration, he says, find their answer. This one is worth a second listen.   Episode Highlights [02:13] – Dean shares the world-record swims that reshaped his life after cancer [06:36] – How mindfulness and purpose helped him endure extreme physical suffering [10:20] – The sudden brain cancer diagnosis that took his wife’s life in just 52 days [14:20] – Losing his identity after grief and feeling completely disconnected from himself [20:52] – Discovering leukemia during a routine knee surgery workup [24:30] – Viktor Frankl’s work on meaning becomes a turning point in Dean’s recovery [31:00] – Why swimming the Willamette River became a mission bigger than himself [41:22] – Attempting the 187-mile swim while living with active leukemia and lymphoma [46:47] – How cold water immersion unexpectedly changed his mental and physical health [51:20] – The shocking blood test that showed his leukemia had disappeared [58:14] – Forest bathing, natural killer cells, and the role of nature in healing [01:03:20] – How grief finally began leaving his body in the forest [01:07:20] – Dean’s philosophy of “BioWild Psychology” and reconnecting with nature [01:15:22] – Why people facing illness must become active participants in their healing   Links & Resources: Dean’s Website: https://www.thewildcureway.com/ “The Wild Cure” book: https://www.thewildcureway.com/books   Upgrade Your Health The Biological Blueprint Course: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Earn 200 in BitCoin + Change your health BEAM Minerals: http://beamminerals.com/beautifullybroken Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN LightPathLED: https://lightpathled.pxf.io/c/3438432/2059835/25794 Code: beautifullybroken Silver Biotics Wound Healing Gel: https://bit.ly/3JnxyDD 30% off with Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN StemRegen: https://www.stemregen.co/products/stemregen?_ef_transaction_id=&oid=1&affid=52 Code: beautifullybroken CONNECT WITH FREDDIE Work with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Website and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world)  Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/freddie.kimmel YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@beautifullybrokenworld  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. 5. Tools of Liberation: PEMF, Red Light, and Why I Finally Took a Real Vacation — Solo from Sardinia

Tools of Liberation: PEMF, Red Light, and Why I Finally Took a Real Vacation — Solo from Sardinia

Freddie is recording from a kitchen in Sardinia — Cynthia on the couch, Gladiator 2 queued up, and a commitment to never miss a Monday. In this solo dispatch, he revisits the recent episode with Elaine Pauli and MagnaWave, sharing new clinical data that wasn't in the original episode: PEMF therapy didn't just reduce prostate size by 27% in 30 days — it actually changed how mitochondria process carbohydrates and sugar, restructuring the cell's ability to generate energy going forward. He connects this to one of the most compelling proofs in the field — a non-union fracture that fails to heal for seven years suddenly restarting bone growth when exposed to high-powered PEMF — and the Kentucky Derby winner who crossed the finish line after using MagnaWave every day in training. This isn't fringe anymore. It's FDA cleared as a Class II medical device. And Freddie has been waiting for this moment for over five years. He also shares a personal announcement: after championing Light Path LED since 2018, Freddie has officially stepped into a leadership role at the company alongside founder Scott Kennedy and Ben Carlson. He breaks down the new Titan panel — six feet of full-body red light coverage, three spectrums, 1,000+ LEDs, a mechanical adjustable stand, and a five-year warranty — and explains why even a 0.2% daily increase in mitochondrial output compounds into something profound over seven years of consistent use. The episode closes with something rarer in the wellness space: a genuine reflection on the healing power of doing nothing. Florence, Rome, Sardinia, good food, long walks, and people watching. No emails. No protocols. Just presence — and the reminder that the tools only work if the nervous system is calm enough to receive them.    Episode Highlights [02:38] – New MagnaWave findings on prostate size and mitochondrial function [03:42] – PEMF as a signaling tool rather than the source of healing itself [06:00] – MagnaWave’s FDA-cleared progress and the future of PEMF adoption [07:10] – Freddie announces his leadership role with Light Path LED [09:15] – The new Titan red light panel and why accessibility matters [13:50] – The compounding effect of small daily wellness habits [15:02] – How chronic illness forced Freddie to rethink his lifestyle choices [16:05] – Why travel and unplugging can be deeply therapeutic [17:58] – Reflections on rest, perspective, and slowing down outside daily routines   UPGRADE YOUR WELLNESS Get AuraWell PEMF: https://calendly.com/cameron-ci3b/podcast Silver Biotics Wound Healing Gel: https://bit.ly/3JnxyDD Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN LightPathLED https://lightpathled.com/?afmc=BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN Code: beautifullybroken STEMREGEN: https://www.stemregen.co/products/stemregen/?afmc=beautifullybroken Code: beautifullybroken Flowpresso 3-in-1 technology: (https://calendly.com/freddiekimmel/flowpresso-one-on-one-discovery) CONNECT WITH FREDDIE Work with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Website and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world)  Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/freddie.kimmel YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@beautifullybrokenworld  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Alane Paulley of MagnaWave & AuraWell Returns: PEMF Clinical Trials, Prostate Results & the FDA-Cleared Future of Healing

Alane Paulley is the CEO of MagnaWave and AuraWell — the first company to receive FDA clearance for an over-the-counter high-powered PEMF device for home use. In this episode, Freddie and Alane break down how pulsed electromagnetic field therapy works at the cellular level, why animals are the ultimate proof of concept, and the published prostate health study showing a 27% reduction in benign prostatic hypertrophy in 30 days using the Nova HD — 100% participant response, zero adverse effects. They also dig into the truth about gauss ratings, why cheap Amazon PEMF mats aren't the same technology, MagnaCon 2025, dynamic movement with EMF, and a story about a skeptical hospital doctor whose torn rotator cuff lit up the moment Alane placed the coil on his back — without her knowing his injury. AuraWell just received historic FDA clearance in December 2025 as the first-ever over-the-counter frequency therapy device, and Alane is on a mission to get this technology into as many hands as possible — including a current promo where renting the Aura Wave gets you a free $8,000 Nova HD if you purchase. Results from a 35-person mitochondrial function trial are also incoming. If you've been curious about PEMF, dismissed it, or wondered whether your Amazon mat counts — this is the episode. 8. You Can't Light a Fire Without Fuel: Minerals, Mitochondria & The Mineral Reset with Caroline Alan

    Apr 27

You Can't Light a Fire Without Fuel: Minerals, Mitochondria & The Mineral Reset with Caroline Alan

Caroline Alan spent years in serious ill health — flattened adrenals, gut inflammation, chronic insomnia, recurring sinus infections, and a compromised immune system — before a single discovery changed everything: plant-based humic and fulvic mineral complexes. Without changing anything else, every symptom resolved over eight months. That curiosity sent her deep into the science of minerals, eventually leading to the founding of Be Minerals and now her debut book The Mineral Reset, published by Hay House. In this return episode, Caroline and Freddie unpack why minerals are the most overlooked foundation in all of health — not just electrolytes, but the full spectrum of 18 to 22 essential minerals your body needs in balanced ratios to run every biosynthesis process: hormone production, adrenal function, gut enzyme activity, cognition, detoxification, and energy generation at the mitochondrial level. Her campfire analogy is one of the clearest explanations of cellular energy you'll ever hear — and it will make you rethink every supplement in your cabinet. The second half of this conversation goes deep on the practical: why serum blood testing for minerals tells you almost nothing, why the OligoScan (spectrophotometry) is Caroline's preferred intercellular mineral test, why you can take magnesium every day and still test deficient, and how parasites, heavy metals, and candida all compete for your mineral receptor sites. Caroline and Freddie also explore the paradigm shift at the core of her book — stop treating your body like a car and start relating to it like a forest ecosystem — and why mineral balance is more important than mineral quantity. Plus: the surprising truth about hydration, why empty filtered water may pass straight through your cells without being absorbed, and how humic and fulvic minerals change the way water crosses your cell membrane. Caroline's new book The Mineral Reset is available now at mineralresetbook.com — use code BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN for a discount on Be Minerals products.   Episode Highlights [00:00] – Caroline shares her experience with chronic illness and full recovery through mineral supplementation [06:29] – Why mineral depletion is rarely considered despite widespread symptoms [09:15] – The “campfire” analogy for how minerals fuel energy production in the body [11:12] – How severe mineral imbalance can impact critical functions like heart health [12:19] – The difference between macrominerals and trace minerals and why both matter [14:24] – Why macronutrients depend on micronutrients for actual biological function [24:04] – How digestion and absorption determine whether minerals are usable by the body [28:18] – Reframing the body as an ecosystem instead of a machine [30:37] – Why foundational inputs can shift multiple systems at once [33:01] – Limitations of common mineral testing methods and what they actually measure [34:50] – Introduction to intracellular testing and the role of Oligoscan [41:31] – Why mineral balance matters as much as total quantity [43:53] – The role of minerals in true hydration and water absorption [45:03] – Why demineralized water fails to support cellular function [47:32] – How most supplements fail due to poor absorption and lack of balance [50:09] – The importance of building a relationship with your body instead of forcing outcomes Links & Resources Beam Minerals: http://beamminerals.com/beautifullybroken — Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN   The Mineral Reset: mineralresetbook.com — Code: BEAUTIFULLYBROKEN   CONNECT WITH FREDDIE Work with Me: https://www.beautifullybroken.world/biological-blueprint Website and Store: (http://www.beautifullybroken.world)  Instagram: (https://www.instagram.com/freddie.kimmel YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@beautifullybrokenworld  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
