Great, informative podcast!

I wish this podcast would have been around 7 years ago when I “got into fitness.”

Two amazing women, both PhD candidates, and extremely knowledgeable. My favorite part of this podcast is that Kait and Lyss approach fitness differently and they don’t always agree. However, they both live life in the messy middle and it’s interesting to hear each of their perspectives and approaches to fitness.

One idea from their podcast and IG accounts that’s really resonated with me is the idea that fitness is not a monolith. When I first made fitness a lifestyle, I ran, I lifted weights, and I mountain biked. Somewhere along the way I fell into the mindset that I had to choose one or the other. I chose to focus on powerlifting for a few years. Although I felt strong and confident, overall, I wasn’t happy. I missed running and I missed mountain biking. I knew I didn’t feel my best. As I’ve slowly got back into all three this past year, Lyss made me realize that sometimes I may be more dedicated to one or the other during a certain period of time, but that doesn’t mean I give up the other two completely. All three modes can fit into my life, it’s all about harmony. Thank you! @chanellejoann

Great messages and info!

I have really been enjoying this podcast, thanks Alyssa and Kait! I just finished episode 8, and as an occupational therapist myself I loved the quick shoutout from Cesar and his willingness to share his story - amazing. All the content on this podcast is making me actively dissect the fitness, nutrition, and wellness information I consume. Great stuff!

Inspiring - let's go do hard things!

Love love love this podcast! Ilistened to their most recent episodes about Alyss'a 100k on my first trail run in awhile and it was so inspirational - I can't wait to do more trail running going forward. As a woman engineer who likes to lift and run, I love learning from these strong (mentally and physically), intelligent and capable women as they discuss fitness and their careers.
