30. Being You Is Your Superpower
Congratulations on completing The Mindset Mile 30 day challenge. I'm so proud of you! Before we end this season I am reminding you of the most important thing yet, that being YOU is your superpower. In the world we are living in today we are bombarded with proposed perfection, queue hashtags #bodygoals, #couplegoals, #lifegoals, #cargoals and whatever else we intentionally or unintentionally chase. The illusive thing you find yourself needing to search for is already within you. You were not created to be status quo and you aren’t. And if you forget it then save this episode and let it interject the story you’re telling yourself. You are capable and so worthy. Your mountains are waiting my friend, go move them. I can't wait to see you for season two!
29. Creating Time By Prioritizing
Do you often think about or respond to things with the thought, "I wish I had the time to do that," or "Maybe someday I'll..."? Have you ever actually found more time? Until something becomes a real priority I can assure you you will not find time for it because we don’t manage time, we manage ourselves. We break down the total hours in a week and add account for every hour that is taken up by things we do regularly to find that there's a surprising amount of time left over. We discuss how to stop wearing busy as a badge of honor and actually prioritize the things you think you don't have time for, be it start a business or hobby or just take some downtime to meditate and rest.
28. Overcoming All Or Nothing Mentality
To be an "all or nothing" person appears as a reasonable safeguard but this thought process can be robbing you of so much because there is a lot to win and gain momentum over between zero miles per hour and 100 miles per hour. You may not realize it but thinking of life in such extremes breeds a lot of anxiety and self blame. In this episode, we talk about doing something all the instead of all or nothing will help you become way more productive and happy.
27. When Life Throws You A Curveball
I’m sure you’ve had a curveball thrown at you where it felt like life was turned upside down, but the only way to find the purpose in the doubt, wonder and worry is to live your way into the answers. Just because you can’t see the solution to something in the moment doesn’t mean that there isn’t one. In this episode I share a personal story about the biggest curveball I've been thrown in my life that maybe you can relate to. To my surprise, it's been the best thing in life yet.
26. The Five Love Languages
Maybe you’re familiar with it or have heard about the five love languages but in a nutshell, it’s an effective communication tool and way to identify and rank the ways in which you yourself feel most loved, but also understand how those closest to you feel most loved. Can you imagine how frustrating it would be to speak Japanese to someone who only understands Spanish? It’s by far the best way to understand how to navigate your most meaningful relationships. In this episode we talk through the five love languages and how to apply them in your life.
