I'm sharing the story here in the hopes of helping you navigate mom guilt that comes in recognizing our part and how to learn lessons that make you BETTER and allow the feeling of guilt to pass in it's good time.

Here is the link to the Shannon Tripp First Aid Kit I mentioned in this episode. It is SO good to have on hand and includes video tutorials.

    101. Increase Your Calm and Patience With THIS Perspective!

    101. Increase Your Calm and Patience With THIS Perspective!

My boys got into a heated fight while playing together and in my best efforts to help them create space from one another, I was met with "NO!!" I, personally, choose to keep my expectations very clear and focus on saying what I mean and meaning what I say. Hearing "no" in response does not deter me. HOOOOOW?!

    You're told "no"... now what?

How do we keep the calm?

    How do we stay patient?!

How do we stay the course?!

I've got this episode loaded up and ready to teach you just that so you can be the calm, steady, constant. Setting the tone of your family and keeping your mind still.

I'm constantly sharing mindset like this over on my Instagram if you'd like more daily examples and encouragement.

I'll say it once and every day after, START WRITING. Your mind is desperate for some exercise and I have just what you need in the Alignment Journaling Course.

This podcast is incredible! I seriously get so much out of listening to it. Tessa is an incredible coach. Episode 95 hit me hard! I NEEDED this advice more than ever after spending the last two days in Disneyland. Tessa’s tools on compassion in this episode opened my mind to so much. I can’t wait to practice them and see the difference in my life.

Amazing

These podcasts have helped me tremendously. I try to listen to one daily. One of my favorites is the podcast about getting ready for the holidays, reminding us to stay align and adjust our thoughts to positives. (I have listened to this 2x after the holidays now) THANK YOU TESSA for all you do, I hope to do one of your courses soon.

Almost Perfect

I love this show so much. It is truly changing how I feel in my own life and for that I’m very, very grateful. However!! There are a couple things that I think alienate listeners and narrow the reach that it has and that’s frustrating to me because I share it with as many people as I can and I don’t like having to give a disclaimer (the content is so strong, I just wish it didn’t need one).

Number one- the name change from Mind Body Alignment to “The Momset Podcast”. It’s not only silly (and it is), but it also just cuts SO many people out of the listening audience. It’s embarrassing to say out loud and it’s just not true. Is she focusing on perspective in motherhood? Yes! But she doesn’t NEED to. Motherhood could just be the well from which she pulls her own examples and stories. But the content is for everyone.

Okay, next. And this is the big one for me. It has lately introduced some heavy religious language and it’s so cringey. I believe in God! And I love talking about the way I believe in God. But I don’t wanna hear “and Jesus was a servant to all people” or whatever. It’s hard to recommend it to my friends (especially the ones I know DON’T have their own relationship with God) now because I have to say “just try and stay focused on what she’s actually saying and don’t be turned off by the Christian language”. I appreciate what Tessa is doing in this regard, but I just wish she would see that it isn’t serving her greater purpose with the podcast (maybe with her LIFE, but not the podcast). It’s like a business putting up political signs during elections. C’mon. You are inevitably going to chase some people away and for what?! Is it worth it?

Lots to say for that one star. The 4 stars I did give it hopefully shine brighter than the absent one. Because the show is so insightful and it rings through my head all day, especially in the tougher moments. And for that I’m very grateful.
