Best change I could make for myself

I don’t listen to podcasts! I came here for Jessica. She’s amazing and inspirational. Love her!

Beautiful Soul

I have been following Jessica for a few years. And I love her positivity and her uncanny ability to put into words the feelings and emotions I can’t. I keep thinking after every episode... THIS was the episode that has most resonated... But I think episode 9 is the winner. In it, she said this:

“We have great desires and goals for ourselves. And we set them and then we don’t check in. And we don’t care about how we feel. And if we do care how we feel, we don’t act on it and hold that care in. And we carry that burden and that shame around because I feel bad for what I haven’t done or I feel bad that I’m not showing up the way I said I would but I’m not doing anything about it.

If you don’t do anything to fix it, you are only making the situation worse, because not only do you care about how you feel, but you are feeling bad the you don’t care enough to change that situation and just end up being a lose lose.

Because there you are carrying around this shame, this burden, this weight on your shoulders because you care but not enough to change. And then nothing changes, you feel like you fail yourself.”

I kept listening to this over and over, because I feel she is talking about me!!! Girl, keep it going! I look forward to every episode and can’t wait to see how super star you gonna go!!! Love ya!
