The Thyroidless Life Podcast with Dr. Rebecca Warren is focused on the clinical experience, personal experience, and research on what it looks like to actually get well after having your thyroid removed or being diagnosed with a thyroid disorder.
Dr. Rebecca had her thyroid removed when she was just 19 years old, and ended up suffering unnecessarily with hormone issues that left her hopeless. She ended up drawing a line in the sand and took back her health. And from there she decided to take all the things she learned over a decade and a half, and began to teach thousands of women worldwide about thyroid and hormone health.
Look at this podcast as a personal walk with Dr. Rebecca of all the things she wish someone had told her when she was 19 and everything she wishes every woman knew.

The Gallbladder, Thyroid Hormone, and Sex Hormone Connection
There’s a major connection between the gallbladder and our hormones, and the fact that they’re so easily removed without properly understanding the underlying cause is problematic. We’re really missing a window to get down to some serious issues if we treated gallbladder issues as the tip of the iceberg.
In this episode I discuss the connection between the two, where to start if you want to dig deeper, what to do if you don’t have a gallbladder, and what to do if you do have a gallbladder.

How to Find the Best Doctor to Work With
In this episode I discuss what it looks like to find the right doctor. We live at a time where you have more resources available to you to get yourself well and to understand your body better but you must first understand that you are fully responsible for your health.
Not only do your get to choose what your care looks like but you get to set the tone for what shared decision making looks like with your practitioner.
I share my personal story of firing my own doctor when I was 20 years old and share what I’ve told my clients through the years, questions to ask, and how to prepare yourself.
I know sometimes it can seem so discouraging to feel like you can’t find the right team but you can and I hope this helps encourage you in that process!

Healing After Thyroidectomy Q&A
This is for all those people that are living without a thyroid. I remember being so frustrated that most of the content about getting well never featured information for someone like, someone who was trying to heal post thyroidectomy. I decided to do a special Q&A from people that have experienced a thyroidectomy. I hope this helps you in your healing journey!
Question in today's episode:
After 25 years on levothyroxine and remaining mostly stable after RAI, why would my numbers just tank? I had to increase my dose by a huge amount. My endocrinologist tested me for everything under the sun. Nothing came up.
Should doctors test your adrenal/cortisol? I've never had this done but wonder if I should.
How, if at all, does pregnancy and childbearing differ when you don’t have a thyroid? Just hoping to have a better understanding of what to expect when the time comes.
Are there any differences between treatments in USA vs. other countries?
What is this talk about the hormone T2 ? Supposedly it can help with weight loss and have no negative affect on T4 or T3.

True Health
Dr. Rebecca works with you to explain, guide and teach you about real health. She gets to the underlying causes of disease and symptoms, and then creates an individualized plan to support the body’s healing. I am so thankful for Dr. Rebecca, her experience and understanding!
Life Changing ..in a good way!
My husband and I had been listening to Drs. Warren for a couple of years . We finally had enough of the conventional treatments and vein of thought from the medical community. My health journey was going south in a hurry. It’s been around two years since being under Dr. Rebecca’s care and I can honestly say I am in a much better state in my health. More importantly, I have hope that I can continue to improve. The best lesson to learn is that you really are on a journey … not a destination.
