Wellness Roundtable with the Lake Girls

Wellness Roundtable with the Lake Girls

The Whole Equestrian is known for aiming to bridge the gap between riding and wellness. Lake Girl Retreats offer a transformative experience for women fostering healing, connection, and empowerment all through the lens of mental, emotional, and physical wellness. It seems only natural that Dr. Tyler Held, EdD CMPC of The Whole Equestrian, and Stephanie Everett, M.Ed CHC of Total Evolution Health & Transition would collaborate on an epic journey for equestrians of all levels and disciplines. On this episode of the podcast, we are joined by Lake Girls of the past, present, and future to talk about wellness and what a retreat is all about.

With a limited number of participants, these all-inclusive retreats ensure an intimate atmosphere where women can embrace where they've come from to honoring where they are at, all while setting goals and working towards where they want to be. The work done at these retreats showcase women supporting women while arriving at a higher level individually, truly nothing short of magical.
    This retreat includes:
+ Accommodations in a lovely lake house on Deep Creek Lake, MD
+ Over 18 hours total of wellness counseling & mental performance consulting
+ Delicious and nutritious food & drink! *cheers*
+ Luxury goodies and one-of-a-kind swag
    + Movement & adventure
    + Deep relaxation
+ Fire pit, hot tub, lake toys and more!
If you're interested in this event, please send us a message at stephanie.e.bff@gmail.com. We'll shoot you a survey and connect with you on how we can customize this retreat for YOU

Opposites Attract

I look forward to a new episode every month for #booksbooksbooks— it’s my go-to podcast for barn chores. Also, I find it entertaining that Emily and Dr. Tyler have very different personalities IRL while being equally impressive in their fields. A fun listen every time!

I love this podcast!

I love this podcast, I listen as I drive to the barn and it's as if I have two great friends chatting in the back seat! It is such a stellar mix - a Sports Psychology PHD (or soon to be) and a 5* Eventer and whether you are a professional, amateur or just recreational rider (like myself) I highly recommend it! Tyler mentioned this is a recent episode and I completely agree -bringing her expertise as a sports psychologist to the equestrian community is very helpful as there are challenges unique to riding (traumas, risk factors etc) that do not exist in many sports so the typical focus of performance anxiety is not a wide enough scope. Emily is equally inspiring and her mantra (I may be paraphrasing) "We have a great partnership, we can do hard things and we thrive under pressure," I use regularly! I also really appreciate their transparency and candor around their own journeys, they share both the wins and the lessons learned. A creature of habit, I enjoy the structure of word of the year, goals, books, topic and grooming and training tips. (I'm constantly adding their recommendations to my wish list of books.) The podcast is exciting and entertaining, educational and inspiring. Thank you Emily and Tyler!

Thank you, Tyler & Emily!

This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts! The hosts are funny, intelligent, and provide awesome equestrian and wellness content. I binged the first 15 episodes during the start of quarantine and I am so grateful that I had Emily and Tyler to listen to during that stressful, uncertain time. Keep up the great work! ♥️
