Interview with Amy Chua

Great interview with Amy.
Sometimes great, sometimes not.

Sometimes this podcast brings on a brilliant heterodox type guest who I never would have encountered otherwise, and it blows my mind. People like Yuval Levin, or Haviv Rettig Gur, or Niall Ferguson come to mind as examples. I continue to subscribe for that reason. But sometimes (and more so increasingly), they bring on some genuinely unserious guests, have interviewed a lot of billionaires, and don’t seem as interested in asking tough questions as they used to. And it feels like they are trying to shove a particular viewpoint on me. I respect the hosts, and still feel like they do a good job, but I feel like they try so hard to go against the grain of center left mainstream media that it’s now a bit too center right. But maybe some people would say the opposite! All to say, I really want a centrist/non-partisan podcast! I keep listening in the hope that it will be again.
Actually free press!

This is how free press should be conducted. I love that the speakers all have a diverse and many times opposite point of view but counter each other so respectfully.
2/26/25. Interesting: yes. But reliable?

Some of the claims made by the speakers appear to be contradicted by multiple accounts from organized news sites.
