so. much. gratitude.

Never knew how to comment on a podcast here before. Rachel was by some blessing the first person I ever followed whenever I started social media on Instagram as a young 15 year old a years ago and she was the first podcast I’ve listened too and over the years I can’t imagine w out it. Rachel thank you I love u. i’ve never been any more stagnant stuck and at a painful point in life. I’m grateful for the way your words find me - in the darkest corners of my soul- and even though the problems I have are still there, after listening to her it feels like I’ve been carried out to lay in the sun and the sea for a while. Rachel I feel like we’d be besties. ❤️ 918-346-5675 if I could ever be of any help; graduate an international advertising with a double minor Chinese culture and psychology; great at editorial photography - designing art that ultimately makes people feel - the best brainstormer, music video inside design; anything connecting w other humans. Oh! And of course the way I found you so many years ago - very passionate about yoga. (Oh and I think I meant to write this on the original podcast the yoga girl podcast but I’ve been loving this spinoff channel as well) :)

Wanted to love this, but ads make it impossible

I love Rachel. I listen to her longform podcast weekly. I like the idea of these bite-sized moments of practice, but unfortunately, as others have noted, the execution is not soothing at all. There are simply so many ads that it makes the practice feel like merely a vehicle for delivering ads.

I don’t find myself able to sink in and internalize the depth of these practice moments, because the meditation is immediately interrupted by sound effects and ads which take me out of the moment and leave me feeling lost ):

Amazing

but the ad placement is jarring and truly a shock to the nervous system—ironic for a wellness pod. So I fast-forward until both ads are done, as my wellness would be a net-negative if I endured ad #2’s slam on my nervous system. Otherwise outstanding!
