Drifting by Balloon Over the Waking Fields 🌄

✨ A great pale balloon is filling in a dark field, and in a little while it will lift — and you will lift with it. 🌄 Tonight we rise slowly over the harvest country in the last hour before dawn. The ground lets go without a sound, and the fields lower themselves away beneath you — mist pooled in the hollows like pale water, hedgerows drawing their old crooked boundaries, round bales standing in a scattered line. You drift east over a village still asleep, past an orchard heavy with unpicked fruit, out along a river lying under its own weather. A single window burns yellow on a far bank. Birds pass below you. And somewhere near the end you sit down on the woven floor, pull a blanket someone folded to your chin, and let the burner breathe its slow gold light over your closed eyes while the fields go on waking without you 🌙 Includes mentions of: Hot air balloon 🎈 · Harvest fields 🌾 · Morning mist 🌫️ · A sleeping village 🏘️ · An orchard at night 🍎 · A river before dawn 🌊 · Woodsmoke 🔥 · Birds in flight 🕊️ · Lantern-gold light ✨ · Wool blanket 🧶 · Open sky 🌌 · Being carried 🫧 New episodes every Sunday evening. A Slow Evening in a Canal Town ✨

A road narrows, stops being a road, and puts you down at the edge of still green water.  An evening walk through a small canal town, taken at the pace the stones insist on. You follow the water north as the last gold light lies flat across the surface, stop at the top of a low bridge to let the shape of the town assemble itself, and cross a small square where jasmine has climbed a wall and someone has left clean water out for the cats. A covered passage returns your footsteps to you a half-beat late. Past it, a basin of moored boats knocking softly against their posts, warm stone still holding the day, and a lamplighter working the far bank post by post until the water holds more light than the sky. A boatman passes, lifts his chin, and is gone. The bell in the tower rings, unhurried, and there is nowhere further to walk.🌙 Includes mentions of: still canal water 🌊 · warm stone underfoot 🪨 · a low bridge at dusk 🌉 · climbing jasmine 🌿 · a stone wellhead 🏺 · a covered passage 🕯️ · moored boats knocking 🛶 · lamplight on water ✨ · a single oar 🌑 · a distant bell 🔔 New episodes every Sunday evening. The Greenhouse on a Winter Night 🌱

Tonight, a slow walk through a small glowing greenhouse, warm and green, while snow falls quietly on the other side of the glass. 🌿🕯️ You follow a lamplit path across a snow-dusted garden toward a long glass room glowing gold against the winter dark. Inside, the air is warm and damp with soil and green leaves, a cast-iron stove ticks softly in a domed heart-room, and a gray cat sleeps curled beneath an old potting table. You wander past ferns and citrus trees, drying herbs, faded photographs of other winters, and a window nook where snow gathers slowly, pane by pane, on the far side of the glass. Little by little, the lamps dim, the stove settles, and the whole small green world holds itself warm around you until there's nothing left to do but rest inside it. Includes mentions of: a snow-dusted winter garden 🌨️ · a glowing greenhouse at night 🕯️ · warm soil and green leaves 🌱 · a cast-iron stove 🔥 · drying herbs · a sleeping cat 🐾 · falling snow against glass ❄️ · old garden tools and photographs · a warm, sheltered hush New episodes every Sunday evening. The Lamplighter's Round 🕯️

✨ Tonight, a slow walk through an old town at dusk, following a lamplighter on his evening round. 🕯️ The light is fading, the shops are closing, and somewhere at the edge of town a man in a long coat begins the same walk he's made every evening for years. You follow a few steps behind as he moves from lamp to lamp — a long wooden pole, a small steady flame, a soft hiss, and a warm circle of light appearing over the cobblestones. Along the way you pass a quiet fountain square, an old woman wrapped in a shawl who has watched this same round her whole life, and a town that slowly, lamp by lamp, becomes lit against the dark. By the end, there's nothing left to do but stand in the warm light and feel that something small and good has been done, well, once again tonight. Includes mentions of: a lamplighter's evening round 🕯️ · gas lamps lit one by one 🏮 · cobblestone streets at dusk 🌆 · a quiet fountain square ⛲ · a single distant church bell 🔔 · an old woman on a stone bench 👵 · the first stars over rooftops ✨ · a town settling into night 🏘️ New episodes drift in every Sunday evening. 🌊 Where we slow down, let go, and drift into rest Listen wherever you rest: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/quiet-harbor/id1887079876 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0eXNW0UYq0YCgx9tLyEV44 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@QuietHarborPodcast YouTube, Instagram, TikTok: @QuietHarborPodcast 🌐 quietharborstudios.com
