In the War On Truth series, Marianna selected some very interesting representatives of the truth in Russia.
Sergei Buntman is a true intellectual and he is a nice and kind person… he is definitely pro truth and against war…where it concerns Russia-Ukraine….
How adamant and righteous Elena Servetas is! Truth means a lot to her.. or so it seems…
In truth, both of them, as so many of the Russian journalists in exile, of whom Buntman spoke so warmly, were consistently and systematically dehumanising Palestinians, when it came to Israeli attacks on Gaza.
Buntman came to the point of even denying them the right to a national identity. Servetas was making derogatory comments, quoting Islamophobes, interviewing exclusively pro Israeli propagandists in her show in Russian.
Many many journalists from the former Echo of Moscow were doing exactly the same.
What does it mean? Where is the truth? What kind of truth Marianna is speaking about? While denouncing one aggression, they are accepting genocide of other people.
That is why I completely lost my trust in Russian journalism.. in exile or not. Both work as propagandists, with very few exceptions.
