Fazal Bari

Fazal Bari is an Islamic scholar, educator, lecturer and the founder of Hidaayah Institute in Frisco, Texas. Raised in Toronto, Canada, he developed an interest in seeking Islamic knowledge from a young age and later travelled to Saudi Arabia to pursue formal Islamic studies. After completing his studies in engineering, Fazal Bari studied for more than a decade at the Islamic University of Madinah and the College of the Prophet’s Mosque. During this period, he studied Arabic, Arabic morphology, Aqeedah, Tafseer, Hadith and Islamic jurisprudence under respected scholars. Fazal Bari holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hadith and Islamic Sciences, an associate degree in linguistics, a postgraduate diploma in education and a certification in Islamic chaplaincy from the College of the Prophet’s Mosque. As the founder of Hidaayah Institute, he is involved in providing Islamic education, mentorship and spiritual development programmes for children, young people and adults. The institute offers classes covering the Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic beliefs, worship and other areas of Islamic learning. Shaykh Fazal Bari regularly delivers Islamic lectures, Friday sermons, Tafseer lessons and reminders at mosques, conferences and community events. His talks address subjects such as strengthening faith, developing consciousness of Allah, understanding the Qur’an and Sunnah, overcoming spiritual challenges and applying Islamic teachings in everyday life. He has also dedicated his time to Islamic research, writing and working with organisations in the United States and internationally. Through his lectures and educational work, Fazal Bari seeks to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible and relevant to Muslims of different ages and backgrounds.
