    Trump Travels to NATO Summit; Campaign 2026 Senate Races Heat Up

    President Trump departs tonight for Ankara, Turkey, for the annual NATO summit, where leaders are expected to focus on the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the president's calls for European allies to take on a greater share of the alliance's defense burden. President Trump is also expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. Before leaving Washington, he spoke with reporters at the White House during an event launching the new Trump Accounts program for children. We'll bring you some of those remarks. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte is already in Ankara. He met with reporters today and addressed many of the same issues ahead of the summit. We'll hear from him as well.     Supreme Court Rules on Trump, Lisa Cook, Mail Ballots & Congress Moves Housing Bill

    The Supreme Court rejected President Trump's attempt to immediately remove Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook from office, while at the same time expanding presidential authority to remove other federal officials. The justices also upheld state laws allowing mail ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted even if they arrive afterward. On Capitol Hill, Politico reports House Speaker Mike Johnson has officially sent the bipartisan housing affordability bill to President Trump's desk after Congress approved it last week. The measure had been delayed after the president called on lawmakers to prioritize the SAVE America Act, the Republican election reform bill that remains stalled. The dispute is now spilling over into the annual defense authorization bill, with some House Republicans threatening to oppose a procedural vote unless the SAVE Act is included.
