Child Sexual Abuse – A Silent Crime

According to the latest data by the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), over 32,000 cases of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) were reported in 2017 while almost 40,000 cases were reported in 2018 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). In this episode of our podcast Pinjra Tod Kar, we talk about how Child Sexual Abuse is prevalent in society and how we need to fight. Suno India team sat down with 20-year-old Pooja, who works at Shaheen and is a survivor of Child Sexual Abuse. You will also hear from child rights activists Padmashri awardee Shantha Sinha, Founder secretary of MV Foundation and Ramesh Kidambi, and Chhavi Dawar from Break the Silence, a not-for-profit that works in raising awareness on child sexual abuse. Beyond Bollywood, how India's NDPS Act punishes the vulnerable

Over 10% of undertrials in Indian jails were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The Supreme Court has said that the bail provision under UAPA is “comparatively less stringent” than that under the NDPS Act. Majority of people booked under this law are not traffickers. In this episode of The Suno India Show, we will see how the NDPS Act affects not just the few celebrity names that pop up on news headlines, but thousands of common people who languish in Indian jails. (Handlooms need our support not just during handloom festivals but on a regular basis. They need proper rate and market. Every village and town should have markets to sell handloom. Palliative care గురించిన అవగాహన అవశ్యకత గురించి రోగుల కే కాదు సామాన్య ప్రజలకు ఆరోగ్య సిబ్బంది కి తక్కువే.గత కొద్ది సంవత్సరాలుగా రాష్ట్రం లో ఈ దిశగా తగిన పురోగతి వస్తున్నది.ఒక అంచనా ప్రకారం దేశం లో Palliative care అవసరం అయిన రోగుల్లో 4% కన్నా తక్కువ మందికే చికిత్స సేవలు దొరుకుతున్నాయి. 2019 world health day సందర్భంగా WHO తన statement లో యూనివర్సల్ హెల్త్ కేర్ అందరికీ అందాలంటే ఆ దిశలో తొలి అడుగు ప్రాథమిక ఆరోగ్యం మరియు palliative care ki తగిన వసతుల సేవల కల్పన. 2012 లో indian National program for palliative care NPPC ని ప్రారంభించారు.2017 నుండి NPPC సహకారం చేవెళ్ల ఏరియా హాస్పిటల్ లో తరువాత ఇతర ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో palliative care units స్టార్ట్ చేస్తున్నారు. అంతే కాకుండా pain relief and palliative care society ఆధ్వర్యం లో నడుస్తున్న సెంటర్స్ సేవలు Hyderabad లో అందుబాటు లో ఉన్నాయి.
