The man was just riding his bicycle. Because this was very wrong, there was a special meeting in a courtroom. This meeting is called a trial. At the trial, a judge listened to the story. The soldier said he was very sorry for what he did. After listening to everyone, the judge made a very important decision. The judge said what the soldier did was against the rules, even during a war. So, the soldier has to stay in prison for the rest of his life. This was the very first time such a trial happened in Ukraine during this war. It shows that it's important to follow the rules and be fair, always.
