The first film in a decade from Nicolas Winding Refn ("Drive," "The Neon Demon") has lavish style but it's totally inscrutable. Go for the clothes and the production design if you must see it. Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton and Havana Rose Liu star. In theaters. HADESTOWN: THE MUSICAL. This is an extraordinary live capture of AnaÏs Mitchell's Tony-winning musical. All the stars from the original Broadway run are here for this London West End performance. If you've seen "Hadestown," you'll want to see it again in this thrilling, intimate form.     The biggest movie of the year is here, and we're here for all of it on Breakfast All Day. Here's what we reviewed on our latest episode. THE ODYSSEY. You thought your commute home was brutal. Matt Damon endures an array of mythological monsters and obstacles in Christopher Nolan's epic adaptation of the ancient Greek classic. Co-starring Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, John Leguizamo and Lupita Nyong'o. In theaters everywhere. HEARTSTOPPER FOREVER. Rather than produce a fourth season, the folks behind the "Heartstopper" queer romance series opted for a two-hour feature film. Can Nick and Charlie make it last? Will Isaac run out of books to read? Watch and find out. Streaming now on Netflix. MOVIE NEWS LIVE! Alonso is out of town, so Christy did this one solo. We'd never bail on you entirely during "Odyssey" week.     Episode 614: Moana (2026), The Man Who Would Be King: Was It Great or Were You 8?, Movie News LIVE!

    Everything old is new again this week on Breakfast All Day. Here's what we reviewed in our latest episode: MOANA (2026). If you've seen "Moana" (2016), you've seen "Moana." Disney's going back to the animation well one more time for their latest live-action remake. The songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda are the stars again, but newcomer Catherine Laga'aia has an appealing presence in the title role. Dwayne Johnson is back as the demigod Maui (of course). In theaters. THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING: WAS IT GREAT OR WERE YOU 8?. This is our favorite game to play. This time, Alonso chose a film from his childhood to see how it holds up today. Sean Connery and Michael Caine co-star in this 1975 action epic from legendary director John Huston. If you've seen it, is it still great? Rentable and streaming in a variety of places.     Episode 612: Minions & Monsters, Young Washington reviews

    Wow, it's July! We have a quick little episode to kick off the month and the second half of the year. Here's what we reviewed on the latest Breakfast All Day podcast: MINIONS & MONSTERS. The third Minion movie and the seventh film in the "Despicable Me" franchise is surprisingly hilarious, as those tiny, yellow chaos agents storm Hollywood and invent cinema as we know it. Lots of classic movie references for the adults in the audience and madcap hilarity for everyone, regardless of age. Allison Janney, Trey Parker, Christoph Waltz and Jesse Eisenberg are among the voice cast. In theaters everywhere now. YOUNG WASHINGTON. Before he was the first president of the United States, George Washington was a scrappy upstart with ambitions and mistakes to make. That's the point of this Angel Studios take on the founding father, set in 1755 Virginia. Starring William Franklyn-Miller, Kelsey Grammer, Ben Kingsley and Mary-Louise Parker.     Episode 611: Supergirl, Jackass: Best and Last, Movie News LIVE!

    Supergirl may not save humanity, but we're always here for you at Breakfast All Day. Here's what we reviewed in our latest episode: SUPERGIRL. It's getting mostly mixed-negative reviews, and we're on the lower end of that scale. We enjoyed Milly Alcock as the aggressively blasé Kara Zor-El, and we really liked Jason Momoa as the imposing Lobo, but for the most part this "Superman" follow-up is a mess. Matthias Schoenaerts and Eve Ridley co-star. In theaters. JACKASS: BEST AND LAST. After more than a quarter century, Johnny Knoxville and his rowdy, masochistic friends can still make you squirm and howl with laughter at their elaborate stunts. But this final "Jackass" movie is also surprisingly poignant. Kids, don't try this at home. In theaters. MOVIE NEWS LIVE!
