Introducing What End-of-Life Dreams Can Teach Us About Living, with Hospice Doctor Christopher Kerr from The Oprah Podcast. Follow the show: The Oprah Podcast Oprah is joined by neurologist and hospice physician Dr. Chris Kerr to explore the mysterious phenomenon of end-of-life visitations. Through decades of research and his life-affirming book Death Is But a Dream Dr. Kerr’s work has sparked a profound paradigm shift reframing so-called “deathbed dreams” as very real end-of-life experiences. Dr. Kerr and his team have conducted more than 1,500 interviews with fully lucid patients nearing life’s end. Again and again patients describe vivid encounters with deceased loved ones that feel not dream-like, but strikingly real. Those who appear are often the people they loved most deeply—the ones who mattered most in their lives. In this episode you'll also hear from a woman whose mother experienced an “end-of-life awakening”—a phenomenon known as terminal lucidity, in which a dying person temporarily regains mental clarity and awareness, often using those precious final moments to say goodbye to loved ones. Episode 616: Her Private Hell, Hadestown: The Musical, Movie News LIVE!

It's an accidental theme week here at Breakfast All Day. We love when those happen. We're in a bit of a lull for new movies between "The Odyseey" last week and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" next week, but here's what we reviewed for you. HER PRIVATE HELL. The first film in a decade from Nicolas Winding Refn ("Drive," "The Neon Demon") has lavish style but it's totally inscrutable. Go for the clothes and the production design if you must see it. Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton and Havana Rose Liu star. In theaters. HADESTOWN: THE MUSICAL. This is an extraordinary live capture of AnaÏs Mitchell's Tony-winning musical. All the stars from the original Broadway run are here for this London West End performance. If you've seen "Hadestown," you'll want to see it again in this thrilling, intimate form. And if you've never seen it, prepare to be dazzled. In theaters for only about a week. Find out more and get tickets here. MOVIE NEWS LIVE! This went extra long because there was so much to discuss, including the Venice and Toronto film festival lineups, Johnny Depp as Ebenezer Scrooge, the "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer, Elon Musk's AI version of "The Odyssey," the Cinerama Dome returning and more. Join us on Fridays at Noon Pacific. Thanks for starting your weekend with us! Look for our "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" out of the theater reaction on Monday night.
