Dear Shandy

What I like about the recaps is that they solely discuss the show as seen on tv, no social media, gossip, spoilers. They also discuss the framing of contestants and events by production and possible motives and disect storylines. They critize some contestants quite intensly but always remain respectful.

Funny dynamic between this podcast couple. He - Andy - is the funny guy, she - Sharleen - laughs heartily at every joke her husband makes. As a participant of the reality show Bachelor Sharleen herself is of course qualified to recap the show. As a “successful couple” they also feel qualified to give relationship advice. I like their takes, especially as they usually give the villains some grace. Unfortunately they lately overdo it a lot. Just because some of their fans like them to sing, the now sing tunes several times in each episode which is very annoying. Sharleen comments a lot about fashion - which is not the reason why you tune into a recap of a reality show. And there are ads - and really a lot of ads. They now comprise at least 20% to 25% of the show. I like that they put in a lot of efforts into these ads. But at this amount I have to fastforward. I liked DearShandy a lot, but lately I more often than not feel annoyed and not entertained.
