Sinan Kaya

Sinan Kaya is an electronic music producer and DJ from Istanbul, shaped by the city’s deeply rooted underground music culture. He began DJing in the early 2000s, developing his musical language through residencies and collaborations that emphasized continuity and flow. By the late 2000s, he shifted his focus toward studio work, releasing his first records and gradually refining a personal sound rooted in the foundations of house music. Drawing from Chicago house, garage, and deep-tech traditions, his productions and DJ sets reflect a groove-focused aesthetic built on subtle progression and atmosphere. His tracks have consistently appeared in Tracksource’s genre-specific Top 100 charts, reflecting a steady presence within the global house music network. His work has circulated internationally within underground house circles, reaching DJs and listeners across different scenes. Earlier in his career, his contribution to the Skylax House Explosion project placed his work within an international context curated by figures such as Terre Thaemlitz. Alongside his production work, Sinan Kaya curates SubCurrent, a weekly radio program on Istanbul’s electronic music station Dinamo.fm.
