I am Scott and between me and my co-host Marc we will take you through the movies you have selected for review. We will also share your facts and 3 word reviews of the movie. We also have guests join in on the fun and we will submit them to a very difficult quiz for your (and our) entertainment. We follow a young couple trying to reunite across the city of Taipei amidst a sudden outbreak of the "Alvin Virus." But forget standard, brain-dead zombies—this virus mutates the brain's empathy centres, turning everyday citizens into sadistic, bloodthirsty sadomasochists who act on their absolute worst, most depraved impulses with a big, terrifying smile. Is this a masterful, adrenaline-fueled masterpiece of modern body horror, or did the relentless, mean-spirited depravity finally push the boys past their breaking point? Plus, we play a special survival game: Can Marc actually survive a zombie apocalypse in The Sadness universe?     Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)

    Today a boat trip is in order as we look at one of the most confusing and possibly the worst instalment in the Friday the 13th franchise. When a new group of teens head to New York on a luxury cruise ship called the Lazarus to celebrate their graduation they are not alone. Jason has stowed away, as has his toxic avenger looking child spirit. Now with what appears to be the ability to fully teleport Jason takes out as many teens as he can before they reach their final destination. We will give some credit as the shots in Time Square are iconic but the rest of this movie is a really boring watch. Thankfully in it being so atrocious we do have a lot to talk about.     It is officially the biggest box office shocker of the year, and you lot completely obsessed over getting us into the theatre for it. This week on the You Run Podcast, Scott and Marc are breaking down Curry Barker’s micro-budget horror sensation, Obsession (2026). We follow Bear’s ill-advised decision to break a branch off the "One Wish Willow" just to win over his crush, Nikki. It starts as a hopeless romantic's dream, but quickly spirals into a deeply unsettling, wish-forced, supernatural possession nightmare. We are dissecting that viral, panicked "no, no, no" dating scene, debating whether Bear is the most evil villain in horror history, and trying to figure out how a low-budget indie managed to outpace Star Wars and Masters of the Universe at the box office. Beyond our main review, we dig into the wild behind-the-scenes production facts of how this Gen Z YouTube director conquered Hollywood, open up the voicemail box to see how much our Halloween 3 episode annoyed you all, play a quick game around Marc's wishes and break out the VHS from the Crypt.     Alien Resurrection (1997)

    Back into the world of Alien today with a film that suffers immense criticism for the decisions it made. We look at the issues that many people have and share our takes on what is a flawed but fairly solid addition to the Alien franchise. We also share some cool movie facts throughout the review and your thoughts in three word review. Not to mention a thrown together game that turned out far better than we could have imagined.

    Halloween III, Season of the Witch (1982)

    Halloween III is undeniably one of, if not the most divisive film in the Halloween franchise. While some hail it as the best in show and the realisation of John Carpenter's original plan to make the Halloween movies an anthology of terror. Others feel it is a poor sequel that offers nothing to the franchise and should not be included when talking about these movies. Today's episode gives you both of these opinions as we thrash out what we loved and hated about the film. We cover Dan, alcoholic womaniser or divorced Dr living his best life? How did they get that stone from the UK to the US? Why do they ooze orange juice? and most importantly, why don't we have more movies like this?     Mortal Kombat (1995)

    WARNING - THIS EPISODE CONTAINS VERY STRONG LANGUAGE AND INSULTS AIMED AT EACHOTHER THROUGHOUT. IT IS ALSO AN EPISODE WHERE BOTH US, AND OUR GUEST GOT RATHER DRUNK AND SILLY! IF THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN AN EPISODE MAYBE SKIP THIS ONE! You know the episode is going to be fire when we have no choice but to open the episode description with a disclaimer... We are joined by Jim of Jim's Retro Emporium who is not only a close friend of the show and me and Marc but also the biggest Mortal Kombat nerd on the face of the earth. Today love all around as we dissect and discuss the peak of 90's cinema. Yes we know the film is objectively terrible but the memories and nostalgia it carries are not. In fact those feelings are so strong we all reverted back to 13 year olds and hurled insults at each other for 30 minutes. Anyway despite the warning this episode is a flawless victory and will go down as one of our all time favourite recordings!
