Whilst this show is little more than the musings of one man, it is the man the makes this podcast so very listenable. Engaging and thought provoking, and often times controversial depending on your own morals and beliefs, host Wiggly invites you to share his own personal experiences in this very Wiggly World that he lives in. With topics covered (and often revisited) including religion, drugs and alcohol, mental health, the nonsense that is Scientology and many more besides, there is often something there to challenge the listener and have them agree, or indeed disagree, to the vibrations being beamed into their earholes.
Whilst Wiggly does do, by his own admission, more "professional" podcasts (see We Talk Games) A Wiggly World is a much more personal, intimate affair where the listener is treated much more informally and friendlier than some other shows. In many senses it feels like listening to an old friend talking rather than a faceless show host, and that translates into a show that makes you feel very welcome as a new, or indeed, longtime listener. It can be quite challenging, especially when topics and opinions are discussed that hit close to home or that you disagree with, but it can be argued that the whole point of the show is to challenge your thoughts, challenge your beliefs and be wiser for of it.
Ultimately, this show can be the easiest listening in the world, but at times it can also be thought provoking, challenging and seemingly personal. But with a mature fanbase, and a mature host, no matter the disagreement the listener is always made to feel personally invited, and more than welcome. Something different from a podcast, and something very good.
