Alchemy of Innovation Podcast

We are entering into a new epoch for business, for society, for humanity. As AI/ChatGPT swiftly reconfigures our world, how do navigate such vast and alien landscapes while trying to keep jobs, companies, families, education goals? Finding what is uniquely human in our story will help. I'd like to think my rambling words might trigger a thought process: how can you be unique & irreplaceable? What is your dharma, your path? It's a big ask: let's take business news also emergent tech, metaverse, AI. Plus philosophy, spirituality & ancient religion. Magic. Then mix. xx Laurel Papworth, Alchemist

Regulations and Artificial Intelligence; societies shields and protection, Lord Vishnu, King Arthur and Achilles Shield. 007

Shields are how society protects itself - we use Aegis (an ancient shield but today a term for protection of the collective) and enforce regulations, codes and compliance. King Arthurs shield is Pridwen, and Zeus passed a shield to Artemis. Lord Krishna (Vishnu) gave Arjuna a shield and we focus on model cards on the Blockchain to protect us from wayward artificial intelligence. The Iliad has one of the most comprehensive descriptions of a shield ever. We have nutrition cards, pharmaceutical product descriptions and electronics datasheets - just like Facebook/Meta and Google publish system cards for AI. ChatGPT says:The transcript discusses various historical and philosophical aspects of shields. It includes references to Lord Krishna's Sudarshan Chakra, King Arthur's shield Pridwen, and Achilles' shield from Homer's epics, illustrating their symbolic power and protection. It also connects these ancient symbols to modern technology, like AI's role in data protection and privacy. The narrative intertwines these themes with social constructs, regulations, and a balance between divine masculine and feminine, emphasizing the importance of protection, responsibility, and community in both historical and contemporary contexts. Laurel Papworth note: This subject of shields throughout timelines combined with AI model cards presented itself to me in July 2023. I've been unable to do it justice. The task of taking a nub of an idea and expanding it to alchemise (integrate) the technology with the spirituality has been a difficult road. I want to be upfront: the next episode will be easier to consume, I believe. Image copiloted with Dalle3 and GPT4. 2. Does Artificial Intelligence experience Time? The Nature and Science of time and our perception of temporality

Does Artificial Intelligence experience Time? The Nature and Science of time and our perception of temporality

Time's Complex Physics Theories. Today I bumble along between Quantum Mechanics, Big Bang and Blackholes appropos Time. While exploring general and special relativity - hi Einstein and Hawking and Eddington, big shout out to Bohr, Heisenberg, Wheeler and of course Bergson and Eagleman. Special note: Minkowski and Itzhak Bars (I took an extended license to discuss reversalism (two dimensional time theories). Relativity and Time Dilation Times Arrow and Entropy Quantum Mechanics and Time Big Bang and then Time started. Black Holes and hey, is time slowing down? Reverse time, and Block Universe Consciousness and Time Interestingly, Aristotle and Plato, St Augustine, Anicca (Buddhism) Kabbalah (Ein Sof) Sufism and Rumi, Hinduism, Taoism, Hermeticism (Hi Hermes Trismegistus , still can't say your name sober) and other philosophies also explore various theories of time the main being nope, the linear time we say we experience isn't real. Greek Philosophy St Augustine Buddhism Kabbalah Sufism and Rumi Taoism Hermeticism and Hermes Trismegistus Finally, AI thinks so fast and so deep that time is a different concept. Rather than chain of thoughts (linear, step by step) fast deep time means tree of thoughts - exploring every possible outcome. Every timeline. Everything Everywhere All At Once. AI and perception of time temporal data and sequence learning LLMs and continuous learning (not GPT) Ageing and Obsolescence (synthetic data) Metaverse and persistent worlds, subjective time Metaverse and time dilation/compression Something about archiving data (past experiential) and temporal simulations (avatars that feel and think in time) I think I then went off the rails a bit to understand what an artistic (a moment in time) AI would be like. These poddies are for me to explore my thoughts, if you enjoy them, awesome. They are not business focussed but bigger and higher and deeper. Well to me anyway. The Shields podcast would not write itself and resisted me for a good 6-8 weeks so Time it is as it wrote itself in about 20 mins. LOL. I'll never learn to take the easy path... fast enough. Stay Human, stay Divine, stay Thinking. Episode copiloted with Dalle3 and GPT4.

Artificial Intelligence and Philosophical Thinking - Cartesian Theatre Quantum Consciousness - Alcohol and Existentialism and Elenchus 005

How artificial intelligence And human intelligence converge. Or do not. I wanted to start to tackle artificial intelligence, thought and thinking. We humans are not convinced we understand how we think and have spent philosophical lifetimes debating and cogitating. (Rene Descartes Cogito ergo sum, or Dennetts draft mode or quantum consciousness?) While AI may one day move from a sequential process to a concurrent one, the Divine Masculine will lurch toward a prompt-output approach while the Divine Feminine swims in deep waters. Both exist, both can be right. GAN (adversarial networks) are similar to Socrates Elenchus - only by debating what we know and understand do we truly KNOW. The GAN approach will try and fool the AI into thinking the image is not AI generated. It will build muscle by going back to the drawing board and trying again. A Pros and Cons list. Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, Camus and Baudelaire, Aldous Huxley, Carlos Castaneda and others took the view that Bacchanalia, Dionysian that alcohol can clarify thinking. Or at least mean a good time while philosophising! It has errors as my brain attempts to compete with generative AI and suffers catastrophic failures (not enough tokens) and hallucinations (outside of ingested dataset) Hey ho. Shapeshifter - ChatGPT and Jobs. Australian UnderEmployment skyrockets? Curiosity and Resilience while adapting to AI.

Let's explore Shapeshifting. That very human talent to change and adapt with curiosity and exploration. How will we adapt to artificial intelligence, especially in a job market that suddenly looks VERY different? "GPTs on GPTS" the report from OpenAI, OpenLabs Research and the University of Pennsylvania gives very interesting insight into the jobs that will impacted - hundreds of them - from 19% exposure to 100%. Tax assessors don't do too well. 100% replacement and 50% faster. But sometimes, we're not interested in exploring or being curious or learning. We just want to get by. I've got some bad news for those of you who just want to chill. This is not the time to do that. We're giving birth to AI at the moment. The world is pushing and straining, and it's going to come whether we want it or not. I mentioned that we get caught in a rut. That's not my job. That's not how this job should be. This isn't what I planned for. I don't understand this person. Why do I have to be the one to find common ground? Why do I have to work with AI? I have a long and boring list of jobs that are impacted by AI/ChatGPT and how to pivot and adapt. Skip that part. We look at Underemployment in Australia due to AI: a single person jobsharing with AI and 9 other people won't be enough hours. Roy Morgan report on underemployment (currently at 17.1%) is more comprehensive than ABS unemployment (3.4%). Those numbers are about to skyrocket. I hope this episode has given you some thoughts about how to copilot with AI, how to move through this next phase with curiosity and wonderment rather than fear and trepidation, understanding that maybe your job will never be the same again. But that's okay, because there's a new approach, a new way of doing things that'll be interesting and keep you engaged. Resources on my website laurelpapworth.com/alchemy as well as my AI Is My CoPilot course (in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Virtual) please go to the Australian Institute of Management website if interested: please don't do my course unless it suits but please please please, do SOME education on AI. This thing is moving FAST.

Event Managers, Public Presenters and NFTs. Tony Robbins, Cicero and Rhetoric as spiritual impulses on conference stage.

I've been thinking about Blockchain and event management, and 24 types of NFTs. Also rhetoric, oratory and spiritual impulses; Judicial, epideictic and deliberative. Aristotle, Cicero (the best public speaker evah, who lost his head) and awenyddion (bards) - throw a coin to your Witcher. ChatGPT's opinion, plus katabasis (cave initations) in Metaverse. And other stuff like manipulation of audiences and power which leads to hounding and death of the keynote speakers. I'll have the hemlock (Socrates) over the decapitation (Cicero), in case you were wondering. You may pronounce orator differently than I do. In fact sometimes I pronounce it differently. Tomato, Tomahto. My website has the transcript and links for each episode. laurelpapworth.com/alchemy ChatGPT wanted to summarise the transcript for you. Here you are (ChatGPTs opinion, not necessarily mine). "The podcast discusses the power of oratory and how public speaking events can inspire change and bring new ideas to the forefront. The author, Laurel Papworth, explores the concept of conferences and events being the modern-day equivalent of oratory, with speakers giving birth to spiritual impulses and new ideas in front of an audience. The podcast also touches on the use of NFTs in the event industry, particularly how they can be used to offer attendees proof of attendance and access to event content. Laurel delves into the different types of oratory, past, present, and future, and how some of the most successful public speakers, such as Tony Robbins, use techniques to engage and motivate their audience. The podcast Alchemy of Innovation also highlights the potential for manipulation in public speaking and the responsibility of the speaker to leave the audience free to accept or reject their message." Hope that helped! :) #emergenttechnology #artificialintelligence
