The Wide Open Road episode about David McComb and The Triffids was very thorough, insightful and quite moving. I loved the inclusion of David's poems and of some old interviews with him. Listening to him speaking honestly gave me chills. Also so good to listen to all of the other Triffids. Beautifully produced podcast.

The episode on David McComb and the Triffids is terrific and a real achievement. It joins with the excellent movie Love in Bright Landscapes as recent documentary contributions to the appreciation and understanding of David McComb as a profound songwriter. Through lively interviews with his contemporaries, and a keen sense of place and time, Kirsten conducts a fascinating excavation of David’s too-short life, including lights shone on some awkward corners. David deserves to be remembered, and this shows how it should be done. PS: I hadn’t known it was Grant McLennan!
