Unwritten Women

Episode 3: The Hunger Games (2012) The season concludes in dystopian Panem, with The Hunger Games and Katniss Everdeen’s reluctant rise as a symbol of resistance. When she volunteers for her sister, Katniss transforms an act of love into political defiance, challenging a world built on control and spectacle. Her connection with Peeta Mellark grows from survival into subversion love as rebellion. This episode explores how Katniss’s refusal to conform, her quiet strength, and her insistence on humanity make her one of the most enduring heroines of modern storytelling. Rejecting security without affection and challenging social norms, Elizabeth’s “no” becomes a revolutionary act. Episode 5: In this final episode we investigate the fifth, final and perhaps strangest attack by the Backshot Butcher, an attack that left no fatalities at all. On the 15th of March 2022, Gemma was alone at her work, when a fake delivery man left her beaten and bruised but alive. Today we will discuss the mystery of this final attack, and maybe answer why did the Backshot Butcher start this year long reign of terror? Episode 4: They were soulmates and made for each other, but they were also the Backshot Butcher’s fourth attack and new addition to the growing list of victims. In this episode, we will be talking with Cathy about the events that occurred on the 26th of December 2021. On this day, the Backshot Butcher returned with a butcher’s knife to stab and kill Cathy’s soulmate, Vicky. Episode 3: In this episode, we examine the events which took place at Lobster Lane, the seafood restaurant where the Backshot Butcher killed three people with his knife-heeled stilettos. We will be talking with Samuel about the events that took place on August 20th, 2021. We will discuss how the Butcher stalked Samuel, before booking out the entire restaurant to kill his two coworkers and new-found friend. Episode 2: In this episode, the Backshot Butcher has struck again on May 1st, 2021, this time he has beaten this victim to death and left his calling card. Today we will talk with Detective Paul Lees, who was first on the scene and has been investigating the Backshot Butcher since the beginning. The Detective will take us through the events of that night and through the interviews that led to the realisation that Moe was the Butcher’s third victim. Episode 1: Here at Crime Exposed, we have discovered a series of cold cases all connected to one serial killer, the Backshot Butcher. Over the next five episodes, we will explore the five attacks which spanned from 2021 to 2022. In this episode, we follow the story of Natalie. On January 15th, 2021, Natalie and her two friends Jules and Miko were stalked by the mysterious serial killer. Today, Natalie will take us through the murders of her friends and how the Backshot Butcher strangled her and left her for dead.
