Aluminium was first produced in its pure, elemental form in 1825 by Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted, who reduced aluminium chloride with a potassium-mercury amalgam to create tiny amounts of the metal. Although identified earlier, it was originally more valuable than gold due to the difficulty of separating it. French chemist Henri Étienne Sainte-Claire Deville initiated the first industrial production of Aluminium in 1856.  The lifecycle of the Waverley Donut, and Tuesday's blood moon: https://misc.tantusar.au/clf/192/ Fun Fact: In 2013 Secondhand Lions: A New Musical, based on the 2003 movie of the same name, premiered in Seattle, Washington.
