    EP65 - Glide or Die Baby!

    Episode out! Glide or die baby If you could bottle up a perfect barra trip, this would be pretty bloody close. The Cod Tales crew has just wrapped up an unforgettable week at Lake Monduran, and what a ride it was. Sleepless nights, early mornings, sore arms, endless laughs, and barra that did not disappoint!! The houseboat quickly became headquarters for absolute chaos. Between the cook-ups, cold beers, nonstop banter, and fish stories getting bigger by the minute, there wasn't a dull moment all week. But the real stars of the show were the barra. Glide bait eats in the dark, and Barra that loved the fluff, heart-stopping follows, brutal strikes, and metre-plus fish that had the boys shaking long after they hit the net. Every session felt like the next cast could produce the fish of a lifetime. Trips like this remind us why we do it. Great mates, incredible fishing, and memories that will be talked about for years to come. Lake Monduran has once again proven why it's one of Australia's most iconic barra fisheries.

    EP64: ANZAC's & Having a Crack

    Another cracking episode of Cod Tales Podcast is live 🎙️🔥 This week we break down a trip chasing trout and bass, ticking off a few firsts in the new tin along the way 👌 Plenty of laughs, a few lessons learnt and some awesome sessions on the water. From there we head down to Lake Mulwala for Round 1 of the Teams Fishing Australia event, chasing both cod and yellas.     New episode just dropped on Cod Tales 🎙️🐟 This one’s a cracker we get right into the nitty gritty of chasing cod and yellas in shallow water. It’s one of those topics that sounds simple… until you realise how much there actually is to it. Plenty of little tips and eye-openers in here 👀 We’ve also got young Levi jumping on for a yarn telling the story of his first ever cod, which just casually turned into his PB 😅 Not a bad way to kick things off! First up chasing marlin offshore. And guess what… Azz ticks off a DREAM fish with his very first Blue Marlin. Absolute scenes. Chaos. Screaming reels and Dane getting crook for the first time in some ordinary weather out on the big blue. But that fish will live rent free in his head forever.     EP58: Twas the Drift before Christmas

    🚨 RIVER DRIFTS, BLOWN TRAILERS & FISHING 🚨 Just before Christmas we squeezed in one of those river drifts… you know the ones that make you look over your shoulder thinking “surely this isn’t allowed.” 📊 44 fish in 6½ hours. Absolute mayhem. The highlight? Without question the most bizarre eat we’ve ever seen — a mid-70s cod climbing halfway out of the river to eat a lure off the bank. Still not convinced it was real, but it’s burned into our brains forever. Of course… Codtales rules apply: ⚡ Electric motor decided it had had enough 🛑 Trip ended early 🛞 Lost a wheel AND hub off the axle 🚤 Boat trailer log-slated its way 17km into Binda We also had: 🎣 A tough river session with Mick Hayden, still boating six fish for the morning when it was proper grindy 🎣 A trip with Daddy Marto, only one fish on a Lighthouse Diver, but it turned into an elite arvo — a few beers, soaking bait and talking absolute nonsense 🎣 A quick fish with Nick & Ivy — 10 cod for the morning, and Ivy landed a cracking cod all by herself (outfishing blokes twice her size as usual) Now we’re staring down the barrel of State of Origin Teams Fishing Australia in just five weeks 😳 Dam fish… what are you going to do?
