Ep.87 - Grant Perry: Tsunami Disaster Recovery 2004
On this episode of the Deadass Podcast, I have my father Grant Perry on to share how he got involved in the funeral industry. Grant shares how he started as a hearse driver, then studying embalming and starting his own funeral business. Later in his career he joined the Kenyon International Emergency Services where he was deployed to Thailand in 2004 after the devastation of a Tsunami caused the deaths of 230,000 people.

For the last 20 years Phil has been a museum educator and designed tours for some of the world’s leading institutions, including: The Australian War Memorial, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Chicago’s Field Museum, The London Natural History Museum just to name a few. Phil is also an author of books and articles for newspapers and publishers across the world, including the world-renowned Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine.
