For decades, the Sunset Marquis has been much more than a hotel. It's been a home away from home for rock stars, musicians, actors, comedians, producers, and some of the most interesting characters to ever pass through Los Angeles. The walls of that place have seen some serious history. Today Mark takes us deep into the story of the Sunset Marquis — how it became one of the most legendary rock 'n' roll hotels in the world, the people who have stayed there, the stories that have unfolded behind those walls, and what makes the place so special after all these years. We also talk about the brand-new documentary If These Walls Could Rock, which digs into the incredible history and mythology surrounding this iconic hotel. Comedy is supposed to make people laugh, but behind the scenes, comedians are dealing with many of the same struggles everybody else faces — mental health, addiction, financial problems, and just the pressures of trying to make a living in this business. Zoe and Amber saw that there was a real need for comedians to have somewhere to turn, and they built Comedy Gives Back to provide support, resources, and a safety net for people in the comedy community when they need it most. Today we're going to talk about how Comedy Gives Back started, why this organization is so important, what they're seeing within the comedy world right now, and what comedians can do if they're struggling or simply need some help.
