Firstly, I just wanted to give a shout-out to the Essendon media team. Their ability to cultivate and maintain a pretty decent fan base over the past 20 years is amazing given how mediocre the club’s on field performance and management has been. Secondly, why is Dodoro given such a platform? The guy has achieved zero in the recruiting world - I am actually amazed he is still in the job given how long he has had already. Adrian is delusional, and I genuinely feel bad for my friends who support Essendon. They haven’t won a final for nearly 20 years, why is this guy getting paid? I don’t understand. A trained chimp would have done a better job. This series should be renamed “how not to draft” or “mediocrity manifest.” Other than that I was in stitches for a lot of this podcast. It’s a real comedy if you like AFL.

I’ll give this two stars when we win a final next. You deadset spud Dodoro.

Really interesting and provides great context into the decision making.

I have questioned some of Adrian’s past recruiting decisions but listening to him speak and the passion he has for the club and the amount of thought that goes into his decision making is great to hear. I just feel so sorry for him after some of his incredible work in bringing young recruits to the club, becoming excellent players and losing it all due to the supplement suspensions. None of his doing but it must have just been heartbreaking for him. I have so much more respect for Adrian now that I know more about him and the back stories.
