Evidence Based Birth®

In the Evidence Based Birth® podcast, we cover the research evidence on hot topics about pregnancy and childbirth! Our mission is to help birth workers build the evidence based knowledge, skills, and power they need to protect families' ability to give birth with empowerment. The work we do has a huge impact on parents who are searching for accurate information to empower their prenatal, birth, and postpartum experiences!

Good show but weird terms

It’s her show so she can do what she likes but I do find it disappointing that she refers to ‘birthing person’ and ‘chest feeding’ instead of protecting this space and empowering women and mothers. Birthing is a women’s privilege but apparently no evidence for this in her view.
Incredibly high quality well researched info

I am so glad I have found this podcast. The host, Rebecca, does such a good job of interpreting, translating and summarising research on different aspects of birth for the lay person. It is such an interesting podcast and even though she often refers to the situation in North America, most of the information is relevant to people in any country and she does a great job of explaining how certain interventions or risk factors might influence someone in a different type of setting. Since finding this a few days ago I have binge-listened to quite a few episodes because I am finding it so useful in guiding my decision making about birth and my pregnancy care. The more people who find this podcast the better!
Thank you

What a wonderful resource!
Not evidence based
24/10/2021
This podcast is anti-women, woke, political and does use science or is evidence based which is ironic. “Birthing people, birthing parents”. I joined one of their Webinars and the host couldn’t even use the right terminology for female anatomy.
