    The Christmas Spirit of Croatia

In this episode of the Frenchitivity Travel Series, Michelle and Kent reflect on the third stop of their journey around the world: Croatia during the holiday season. 🇭🇷✨ Episode 19 | The Christmas Spirit of Croatia is a journey through twinkling lights, historic towns, Christmas markets, coastal beauty, and unforgettable human connection. The adventure begins in Zagreb, where the family was completely immersed in the magic of Christmas. From festive markets that looked like alpine ski chalets, to live music echoing from a gazebo in Central Park, giant Advent displays, ice skating, roasted holiday treats, and conversations with local vendors and musicians — Zagreb felt like stepping into a holiday storybook. From there, the journey continued south to Split, where ancient stone streets transformed into a glowing winter wonderland by night. Along the way, Michelle, Kent and Everly explored the breathtaking waterfalls of Krka National Park and wandered the charming seaside town of Trogir. The final stop brought the family to the legendary walled city of Dubrovnik, where history and holiday magic blended together beautifully. Walking the ancient city walls, exploring Christmas markets, roasting chestnuts, ferrying to the island of Šipan, and connecting with locals gave this chapter of the journey a depth they’ll never forget. The episode also features conversations with local residents, market vendors, musicians, and the photographer who helped capture one of the family’s favorite moments abroad — a Christmas card photo session set against the magical backdrop of Dubrovnik during the holidays. This episode is about more than travel. It’s about slowing down long enough to truly experience a place, its people, and the spirit that makes it unforgettable.
